Former IWC CEO Michael Sarp has been named Chairman of the Board of Directors at the Swiss watch manufacturer Armin Strom AG. His previous activities have included managing various exclusive brand-name companies in the luxury goods market. Sarp also served as Chairman of the Executive Board at the Swatch Group Germany. Rolex service through Torneau
I recently brought my Explorer II into Torneau to send it out for a full service with Rolex. I assumed and was told that the watch would be serviced by Rolex themselves, and that it would take about 8 weeks. To make a long story short, I got the watch back in about three weeks and was very unhappy to find out that Rolex did not do the service, it was done by Torneau, and that the watch looks horrible because they polished the bezel and made it look fake, because the bezel should look brushed!!!! Even the numbers on the bezel appear worn down from the extensive polishing!! I refused to pay for the service and demanded Torneau to send it to Rolex for re-servicing and to make it look like it is supposed to. I am now afraid of what was done to the inside of my watch and how they will fix it. I am assuming I will need a new bezel now. Does anyone have any thoughts on this, and should I contact Rolex directly to let them know this has happened? thanks Daniel

312 vs 1312
I was maybe two months away from getting a Panerai 312 ( I used to own one and miss it ). I've always said if they made the 372 in a 44 mm it would be my favorite watch. I know the new 312 isn't that but I love the aged hands and hour markers. Don't know if I love the blue seconds hand and automatic on the dial. What do you all think?
