- The watch is beautiful, if you purchase an automatic, know that you may have to set and wind, each time. The manual says 5-6, I have done it at least 8-9.It is awesome to see inside, and the crystals look great in many lights.

What material do you prefer on Rolex watches?I know you might like different material on different models. But over all whats your favorite material on a Rolex?Yellow Golde, Stainless Steel, White Gold, Platinum, Rose Gold, or a mix of the different materials?Would you like the Rolex to have diamonds or not? Here is my taste:I personally prefer platinum or white gold. I like the pure and clean look that white gold or plat gives the watch. I also like a mix of white gold and stainless steel or plat and stainless steel. I would prefer the watch without any diamonds or other type of jewels. Does size really matter?
Hello all,First time here and first time as a Patek owner. I recently picked up this 1991 (per archive date) Calatrava 3923 and I am amazed at the quality and workmanship. I used to own a Rolex and I thought that was king, until now. As I have been researching and reading around, it does appear that the size is smaller than what is generally accepted nowadays as a men's watch (32mm). The lines and look to the watch are timeless (IMHO) and I would think they would never go out of style. What I'm undecided about is whether it is too small, which will look weird on me and also diminish the value later on. My thoughts are (while watching current men's fashion) is that the smaller watches will make a comeback. If you look at the suit's men are wearing now, they are retro to the 50's and 60's in style and cut. The large 38-44mm watches look way out of place (again, my opinion only). What do you guys think, are the smaller-midsize watches dead or making a comeback?My wrist is 7.5"
