Baume & Mercier MOA8729 wrist watches news:
The Citizen Nighthawk might be old news to a lot of watch people out there. It's been around for a few years and has gotten a decent amount of attention in its day. But despite that we felt that it had a place on worn&wound, because it's one of the best mass-market quartz offerings out there in terms of affordability, good design and value. ?For $237, the Nighthawk delivers in ways that many more expensive watches don't. It has useful complications and features, distinctive looks, solid build quality, good water resistance and a solar powered movement that lasts 180 days on a full charge and never requires a new battery. Forgetting that it is a cool looking watch for a second, between the GMT hand, the slide rule bezel and the solar movement, you have 3 outstanding features that can actually be useful on a daily basis. As James Enloe pointed out in his guide of GMT watches, being able to track a second time zone has very practical implications. Slide rule bezels can allow you to do

I am looking at a few models from M¨¹hle Glash¨¹tte I am interested in, but other than in a review by John I have no idea what the official prices are on M¨¹hle watches. I have the catalog and it is basically a paper version of what is online, but it is nice to have something physical. But like the website they have no prices in the catalog. So do you have to go to an AD just to get a price? I am particularly interested in:The Germanika I - M1-38-03The Germanika III - M1-38-23And the Teutonia II Kleine Sekunde - M1-33-45So that is both my current M¨¹hle wish list and the models I would like to get prices on. :D Any comments or help is obviously welcome,Thanks!
Hi,This is my first post here at so please bear with me! I have inherited an old gold Longines watch from my Grandfather who passed away in the 70's. It is mechaninc (wind-up mechanism) and is unfortunately not running. It's been laying in my fathers drawer for at least 30 year, so I had a watchmaker look at it and he said I would have to change the whole clockwork to automatic because it was impossible to get parts for such an old watch. I checked and he is the "official" watchmaker for Longines here in Norway, so he should know his stuff. Whilst it pains me to put unoriginal parts in this beautiful old watch, I guess I don't have much choice if I want to ever see it working. the thing is though, he could not help me identify it or give me any indication as to what it is worth. Could any of you fine watch connoiseur's out there help me?!All he could tell me was that it was old (very old in his words) and that the case was gold. I know my grandfather used it during the war (he was in
Went to check out the new DJ41. They had both oyster and jubilee bracelet. Really hoping they offer the jubilee in steel next year with a white Roman dial.
