Basel prognostications begin as early as January and start in earnest in February. One of the most discussed brands, of course, is Rolex. A quick browse of Rolex forums brings out multitudes of hypotheses about what the giant will release at the show and, then, a month or so later, the actual news is almost universally met with disappointment. One imaginative idea that I remember distinctly was of a Submariner chronograph or, perhaps, a Daytona diver. In actuality, the idea is not so far-fetched as there are plenty of diving chronographs and why wouldn¡¯t Rolex, who is apt in making both styles of watch, wander down that conjoined path? Well, who knows the answer to that question, but I do at least come with a semi-plausible solution. White dialed Panerai options?
I've always liked the look of Panerai, but wasn't sure how I'd like it on the wrist after wearing it a bit. I really didn't think I'd like it over time & would have buyers remorse. So recently I bought a Militare Marina homage to be a 'training Panerai' of sorts for me. This allowed me to test drive the feel & size, and see what I thought after a few weeks. And if I didn't like it, I'm only out a few dollars, not thousands. Well, after almost 10 days of constant wearing, and then mixed wearing with others in the rotation, I'm surprised to find out I really like it. I bought a black & white faced version to see which I like better, and honestly the whites getting more wrist time. I've actually grown quite fond of it.Though I normally like a date option, the dateless look is quite clean looking. But I also don't know what exactly is out there for me to chose from.I'm not completely ready to pull the trigger on the Panerai yet, but I would like to get a better idea of

Potential Purchase...
Well, it looks like things may be turning around quite a bit for me. As a result, it looks like I may finally be able to replace my "grail", which was a Planet Ocean 45.5mm, orange numbers with a black bezel. I know I won't be able to touch one for the amount I paid for my first one, and that's okay. I would consider a 42mm, as well.I'm also considering, though, two others: A Breitling Seawolf Avenger in stainless, or an Omega Seamaster 300 Co-Axial, either one with a black dial/bezel.What I'm looking for is a quality dealer. There was one which I used to buy watches from online, but they don't seem to have the selection they used to. What I'd like are suggestions; PM's are fine so as to avoid ruffling anyone's feathers. I'd like to purchase a pre-owned piece from a reputable dealer, and I'd like to stay below $3,500.00.I'll also look at forum sponsors, as well.I'm pretty excited to be in this position. I miss my Breitling and my Omegas...

Any speedmasters smaller than 40mm
Does anyone know if Omega made any Speedmasters under 40mm in size?

omega clasp too tight
I purchased a speedy bracelet from ebay for my speedy pro 3570.50. Paid a pretty penny for it too. The bracelet is the older style 1498 with 840 end links.I am trying to figure out whether it is genuine or whether I got suckered into a fake.Reason why I feel something is not right is the clasp. The clasp is very stiff. It actually hurts my thumb trying to open the clasp, and it hurts my wrist when trying to lock it in. It is bloody tight!Are the omega clasps meant to be this bloody tight?
