Ok, The sale ends tomorrow so I've got to decide on pulling the trigger or not. I appreciate and disparately need any advice, support from the Omega folks.A few days ago I was captured by the Omega De Ville Co-Axial Power Reserve. In the few days since my research has brought me this information. The AD said MSRP is $3450. It is on sale for 50% off. I believe this is pretty good pricing from what I've been told. The Model appears to be at least a few years old as the dial is black and the writing is consistent with the 4831.50.31 (Omega DeVille Automatic Chronometer). It is my understanding that the 4831.51.31 replaced the .50. and that somewhere in there a transition was made correcting some issues internally with the 2500 movement in this watch. I was told the 4831.51.31 actually has Co Axial written on it. That is how I've determined the exact model number of the piece I am pursuing. The one at the shop looks exactly like the one from Mr. John Wilson below. Is there any way
Stopped by my local antique store and found a vintage Benrus for $70 and it works. The strap is new and I believe the actual watch is from the 1940's, I could be mistaken though. Seems to be in great condition, haven't found a scratch. It's the first wind-up watch I've ever owned. I'm guessing you simply move the crown upwards to wind. I'm not sure exactly how long it will last between winds and how often I should wind. But anyways here are some pics. Hope you enjoy.
