Longines Longines 50167 The Related Reviews:
- Beautiful style, easy to read, great value for the money and looks as good as some of the very expensive watches. Very happy with the watch and it is easy to have a jeweler remove any extra links to make the band er.

John and I remark over the beautiful weirdness of the "Capitaine Flam" [partially] inspired HM6 Space Pirate watch by MB&F. We then discuss the value proposition of getting an Rpaige watch with an old American pocket watch movement and dial ...And more, like the Romain Jerome Batman-DNA watch, and an amazingly good amateur Urwerk UR-202 homage.Listen to the HourTime Show watch podcast episode 166 here. I traded my DateJust for a new GMT-II stainless steel. It made little sense to keep the DateJust, as I purchased a Day/Date recently.Got a deal that was hard to pass up. So.....my watchbox has changed. I'll try to take some photos if I can make some time over the next week. It was a hard decision between the GMT-II and a Daytona, but the GMT-II was much more practical as I often travel between timezones and International.Saul
Did you all see the Hamilton Tiffany 18KYG that just sold for $1,000 on that auction site you can not mention the name of???
OK, with a new year comes a new "I'm going to buy this many watches this year" thread How many watches are you planning to buy this new year? 1, 5, 20? Or do you plan th whittle down the collection & sell instead? Or do nothing & stay where you are? What's your Watch-Resolution for the year? We'll check back next year to see how we all did..
I'm a total newb, but thought that it'll be fun to read what you think are their respective trademarks. I'll start w/ my newbie impressions:RM: hard, cold, raw, mechanical, powerful watches. A bit over-the-top in terms of showing way too much metal for my tastes (not that I could afford one lol).JLC: a bit classical but modern enough w/ functional aspects on some watches.Rolex: metal band, metal case, date...it's bling but bland at the same time imho. AP: case seems stuck in 'Octagon' mode, seems like a beefed-up Rolex.Breguet: too classical for my tastes. Very subtle.IWC: clean, crisp designs (don't like the name though).FM: is that number pattern all they do? VC: not too classical and heading towards getting overly busy like RM.UN: can't get over the thought that I could see Popeye come out of the boutique anytime.:D
