Vacheron Constantin Historiques 1921 Wins Montres Passion Watch of the Year
The Swiss watch magazine Montres Passion selected the Vacheron Constantin Historiques American 1921 as Watch of the Year for 2009. Vacheron also won the award in 2007 for its Patrimony Contemporary Retrograde Date and Day. Vacheron Constantin CEO Juan-Carlos Torres accepted the prize on October 28 at the Geneva Intercontinental Hotel before an audience of more than 500 people. The Historiques American 1921 model is inspired by an avant-garde cushion-shaped watch with the crown at 1 o’clock that was created for an American client during the 1920s. The modern version is 18k pink gold and measures 40mm in diameter. It is powered by Vacheron’s recently-developed manual-winding manufacture 4400 movement bearing the Hallmark of Geneva.

Need help, sell gold GMT Master II for PP Aquanaut Time Travel 5164a?
Hello,I have a very lovely Rolex GMT-Master II in gold and at the time of purchase it was my grail. It's an amazing watch and the feeling of gold on your wrist is indescribable. However, I only wear it when I have long sleeves on (8 months out of the year). I am uncomfortable wearing it with shorts sleeves here in NYC. My other watch is the SS Daytona Ceramic black dial. I never really considered the move to PP mainly b/c the ones I wanted were too expensive. I always admired the Time Travel from afar when I'd see it online, but never even considered buying. Then today out of no where I got the bug and am not sure what to do. Note, I've also never seen the watch in person, let alone tried one on. Given I live in NYC, I plan on going to the Diamond District to see if I like it on my wrist.While both watches are GMT's, they are completely different in wearability and in my opinion world's apart. INCOMING! Sky Dweller
Just a quick post to introduce my new piece. Had the call two weeks ago from my AD and today was the first opportunity I could go to collect - it was a long two weeks! The watch has surpassed all my expectations, the white dial is amazing - it looks so different in different types of light, from silver in certain conditions to off white in others to matt white. Its really comfortable to wear and surprisingly easy to set. Anyways, I'll keep it brief as its late and been a long day. I've posted a few quick shots which I hope you all enjoy and will take some better ones over the next few days. New member, first post!! Thought i would start by doing something good and something most rather everyone in the forum would find hard to believe.. although i cant be 100% sure, i am more than confident that the prices of new Rolex watches in India are right now the CHEAPEST IN THE WORLD!!! The initial lower prices overall, poor currency exchange rates, good discounts to be had from ADs were always there.. This deal has just been made sweeter by government reducing the taxes to 18% from 28%, bringing the prices down a further 8%..If anyone has plans to visit India sometime sooner or would like to know at what prices they can get the watches here, I shall be more than happy to assist..Hope my first post becomes of use to fellow TRF members.. cheers..
