Baume et Mercier 8878 wrist watches news:
Ermenegildo Zegna, CEO of the Zegna Group, and Gino Macaluso, majority shareholder of Sowind Group, which heads Girard-Perregaux and Jeanrichard, have announced a partnership agreement for the design and production of Ermenegildo Zegna watches. The Ermenegildo Zegna Watch Collection will be available exclusively from Ermenegildo Zegna Flagship Stores around the world beginning next year. The agreement is long term, as is always necessary in the Haute Horlogerie sector. This partnership unites two sectors, Fashion and Haute Horlogerie, who may seem different yet share the same constant quest for perfection and the global mastery of a distinct expertise. The relationship between Gildo Zegna and Gino Macaluso is founded on common affinities in which the research of excellence, innovation and professional ethics prevail.Gildo Zegna (below, right) said: ¡°After the successful launch of the Centennial Limited Edition Watch developed in cooperation with Girard Perregaux, the natural progression
I just realized this morning that as I desire and seek a traditional black dial brushed bracelet Rolex (considering coke GMTII, standard black Sub, ExpII and Dweller), that I really kind of want them ALL!!!!This will be expensive.
Enjoy your day today, whether your one of the 'new recruits' to the club or a Veteran Member. Raymond Weil for me:
I've owned four Rolex watches in my life (now 58 years old), but only one at a time. My current Rolex is my TT DJ 16013 which I bought new 23 years ago this month. After a visit to the RSC in November, it's like new again . . . it wasn't cheap, but it really is like new.The WIS guys and other members of this forum have succeeded in corrupting me and feeding my desire to own more nice Swiss watches. I had just about settled on a 36mm Explorer I when I suddenly discovered the Omega Railmaster. Based on my research, as well as a price comparison with the Explorer I, the Railmaster started looking really good. Then, on Christmas Eve, a fellow forum member posted an ad for a 6 month old 36.2mm Railmaster he had worn very little (it turned out to be basically perfect) with 2 1/2 years of warranty left for a really sweet price ($1,650.00). I jumped on it. Once I got it on my arm, I like it far better than the Explorer I.Then I got the urge for a GMT Master. I had always like the watch
So my only Rolex pieces in my collection currently are a 1675 and a 1625. For a while now I have been thinking the 16570 would make a perfect versatile sports watch for me, smaller than the too big for my wrist (~6) 216570 but new enough to wear as an actual sports watch (most of my collection are vintage and on leather so require care and an avoidance of water). At a xmas party this past weekend I ran into a fella with a 16570 on the wrist, he also probably had a sub 6.5 wrist and I noticed the watch wore huge on his wrist, the bezel and crystal seemed to dome up dramatically similar to the look I found when trying on the Milgauss. I didn't ask to try it on and still haven't had one on my wrist but it made me think that perhaps I should be seeking a slimmer model.I find my 1675 and 1625 do not have an obtrusive thickness, with some reading around it sounds like their thickness is ~11-11.5. Which I wouldn't think would be a noticeable difference from the supposed 12.2mm thickness of the
