This just arrived today. I bought this watch from the original owner's granddaughter and her husband.Apparently he wore it until it stopped running and then put it away. It is unpolished and the movement needs a mainspring. It has been verified to my satisfaction as all original. I would like a strap and a bund if anyone knows where I can get quality straps. I will also get a bracelet for it as soon as I decide which one to put on this watch. =) maverickI took a few quick pics before it is off to the watchmaker. 5196G enabling needed...
Been thinking of upgrading my 15400 to a 15202, and finally put it on the chopping block.But yesterday I started thinking that a 5196G would be a great alternative to the 15202, I know, they are different watches for different purposes, but still.I have been consolidating lately and have only a few watches (you can see in my signature what I have), I am missing a dress watch as you can see.So, I have time to decide while the 15400 sells, but I have always found the hunt to be a big part of the fun.Any comments and especially pics would be greatly appreciated.

My First Panerai!!
I have been loving Panerais since shortly after my Rolex Sub purchase 7 years ago from this forum (justrolexes, Tony). I was finally able to pull the trigger. I ended up with a PAM 1359.I was lucky enough to be able to try on both the 359 and 1359 before purchasing. I actually preferred the slightly thinner case and the ecru coloring on the dial on the 1359. The blue second hand is a nice touch too. This thing will not leave my wrist for a long time. A huge thank you to Addy616 for making the buying experience easy.
