- Bought this watch as a Christmas gift. The watch is a very handsome piece, well made and beautifully gift boxed. It is a gift suitable for males in their teens to seniors.

Bedat & Co 728.040.109 wrist watches news:
I found this watch recently but don't know its name. It appears to use the same case parts as the Nevin II, but the engraving on the bezel is different:The movement is a 761:The case is marked on the back "Hamilton" and "14K", with a "J" and arrowInside it says Hamilton, Lancaster, 14K, and again the J and arrow deviceThis would seem to indicate a case by Jonell, the maker of the Nevin and Nevin II cases. Here is the watch alongside a Nevette, to show it is larger than a ladies' model:The "Nevette" is 20mm high and 16mm wide, and has a 13mm strap on it. The "mystery watch" is 26mm high and 21 mm wide, and has a 17mm strap. Both watches have the 22-jewel 761 movement. Anyone want to take a guess what it might be?
Rene Rondeau's Hamilton Wristwatches book was going for up 10 times the original price since it's out of print but IMHO, this is ridiculous! 1,797.18 CAD = $1806.53 USD

Hi all,I am very fortunate to be able to add my second (own a 5167) and a classic Patek to my humble collection. I went for the Gondolo 5124J and could not be more pleased with it. Firstly a big thank you to Patrick (OCROLEXGUY) who made this happen with a flawless deal. Secondly this incoming is dedicated to this great forum. It is fitting I got the watch from a trusted seller. Without your knowledge and help my collection would not be possible. This watch represents what TRF is all about, a love for fine timepieces. This watch is sublime in every way. The curved case, curved sapphire, curved fitted well finished movement. It just hugs the wrist and the dial is very Art Deco. Lastly please no congratulations, I would like to congratulate all of you for your unparalleled passion. Some quick pics enclosed. CheersAnujSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Just wondering was it difficult to buy a sports model e.g sub, gmt, Daytona etc back in the 70s to 90s period as compared to now? As many of us know (and get frustrated), it's quite difficult to just walk in into any AD now and buy a SubC due to stocks 'shortage'.
