- This must have been a return because it is a obvious the person remove some links, wore for a while and decided to return it. The watch is no longer a 7, but rather a 6. It''s going back!

Any of you guys own one? I'm really torn between the Marina Militare and the Marine Diver. Both look fairly similar, except the first one is $100ish from MilitaryTime and the second one is roughly $600ish from IW.Now I know MT is using chinese parts, but they are still using an ETA 6497 handwind movement, which I've seen is still pretty good from what I hear. The IW Marine Diver watch uses a Unitas movement.I guess my main question is, has anyone ever dealt with either of these companies? I really dig the look, but really can't afford a real Pan as an unemployed college graduate, lol. So, I figured a "tribute" watch would suffice! (I hope this is an ethically acceptable action to the watch lover community, lol) I just want to know if the extra $500 is justified! Thanks
I'm planning on finally pulling the trigger and buying a new Rolex GMT 2. I live in California which has a fairly high sales tax rate of about 8.5%. I'm thinking of either buying the watch in another state and seeing if they will ship it to me without charging sales tax, or buying the watch at an airport duty free and then bringing it back into the U.S. I travel a lot and I'm thinking of maybe going through Schipol in Amsterdam to buy the watch. My question is does anybody have an idea what the duty would be when bringing it back into the U.S.? I've done a lot of research but haven't been able to find a reliable answer. I know most people say to just ship the box and then wear it on your wrist and don't declare it. It's not worth the risk for me. Knowing my luck, they would catch me and I don't want that on my record so I'm searched overtime I enter the country. Thanks for any help!
