Bedat & Co 888.018.310 wrist watches news:
Can anyone tell me if I can expect some sort of discount from an AD when I decide 2 make a purchase. I have both the Wempe and Muhle Glashutte Catalouges and price lists for review trying 2 make up mind at which brand is right for me. Wempe in nyc is 40 miles while the closest MG in MD is about 3hrs from my home. Thanks for any input.
Just posted up some pics of my Zenith, and also took the opportunity to take some pics of my Helson Bronze. It is still on the original strap, but I would like to get a leather strap with a vintage type feel to it. A project for another day.
Hey all,I've just started to collect watches and just thought I'd post the few i do have in working conditon. Aside from these, I have a Bulova Marine Star automatic on the way as well as a Tissot Le Locle automatic. Still awaiting repair is my Waltham jump hour automatic and a 1955 Bulova pillowcase.
A watchmaker serviced my Omega SMP and said it was slow by 20sec/day. In order to correct the problem, he replaced the balance wheel, escapement, and 2 jewels. When I got it back, it was running 1min/day slow. I took it back for a regulating and now it is 30sec/day slow. Is there a settling in period when a watch receives new parts and lubrication which requires many regulations in order to get it on time? Thanks.
I bought a two-tone Sub on ebay (mistake). It was listed as a 116613LB. The pics showed a 116613LN, which is what I wanted. When I got it, I took the bracelet off and saw the 116610 model number. So, apparently the bezel and bracelet were swapped out. I have no idea if the bezel and bracelet are real or aftermarket, but they appear to be real. But how does this affect the value of the watch? It's certainly not as it left the factory, so will RSC even work on it?
