Hello I wanted to introduce myself and ask a question. I am new here my name is Joe and I have been collecting watches for a while. I first started with Fossil's, then moved to Tag and now will like to make the next step to Omega.I am considering buying a used Planet Oceans 2209.50 the watch however is almost 3 yrs old. Should I be worried buying a 3 yr old Omega? What would this watch be worth?This watch is a present to myself for a work promotion so it will be a keeper for a long time to come and I want to make sure I make the right choice. 1970s Pulsar electronics work-around?
Hoping for some advice and creative thinking for my Hamilton Pulsar P-2 "Astronaut" LED from the early 1970s. (You know: The one Roger Moore wore as James Bond 007 in Live and Let Die.)Batteries for it, I'm told, are no longer made. But putting that aside for a moment....Does anyone have advice on how I might power the watch up on the bench using an alternative source, and, if so, what that source might be (voltage, et cetera)? I'm interested in clipping or soldering something in for working w/ the caseback off. Also, given that power wouldn't necessarily be limited, would there be a way to make the display always on? If so, risk of damage to the circuits, et cetera?Thanks!

Hello to all!I have been a fan of Omega watches for a long time, just recently bought an Omega 50th anniversary, Bond LE.Before joining this forum, I had been on many times to read many of the threads on all of these fine watches. I know that for the most part, the Bond, 300m has not been fully appreciated, but it is my first Omega and very proud of my ownership.I would just like to say hello, and happy to be a part of the future discussions.
