It has become known among educated watch enthusiasts that Piaget makes its mechanical movements in-house. What is less known is that Piaget is one of the very few Swiss watch brands that also makes its own quartz movements in-house as well. The brand paid tribute to this dual technical heritage at SIHH 2016 with the Piaget Emperador Coussin XL 700P, a “concept” watch (it will be produced and sold) that combines a mechanical caliber with a quartz-driven regulator.Limited to 118 pieces, the Piaget Emperador Coussin XL 700P, and its ultra-thin, generator-regulated mechanical movement, Caliber 700P, commemorates the 40th anniversary of Piaget’s very first in-house quartz movement, Caliber 7P, which debuted in 1976. Linde Werdelin SpidoSpeed Chronograph Watch
I think that the perlage polish applied base dial will be a stunning design element on this new watch from Linde Werdelin. With a release date of around May 2011, the new SpidoSpeed is the next iteration of the SpidoLite watch concept, and the brand's first chronograph model. The relatively svelte case needed to be increased by 3mm in height to incorporate the mechanical chronograph movement. I actually like that - as the design of the case can accommodate a chunky look quite well. The watch is now 44mm wide by 15mm tall.The SpidoSpeed is in steel, not titanium. Will there be future models in titanium? Probably. What you see here is only the first "Series A" model of the watch. There will be 100 pieces of this version, and after that Linde Werdelin likely has a few tricks up their sleeve for other versions. I figure there must be a few Swatch watches kicking about these parts. Recently, (last night, for a couple of hours ) I became enamored with Swatches, so I picked this one off Ebay. 1992 model, apparently. I've never had a Swatch before, and that seemed reason enough to buy one .

Two tone Royal Oak 56175
Hi folks,I've seen a a quartz Royal Oak two tone for €2850,- which to me is affordable.However I'm not too sure about the state of this watch (no box & papers either..), it seems to be a bit over polished at the bezel..juwelierburger/NL/web...derBy=&sortBy=I know the seller and I live rather close this store so I'll check the watch out this week.
