- the watch feels like there really isn't much to it. My watch i had before this one cost me 29 dollars and lasted me 6 years. It felt like a real watch and this new one when its in my hand i get a feeling like it is a toy watch.

- I received this watch yesterday, and was absolutely thrilled with the beauty and the quality of the workmanship. This watch looks like an estate treasure and is 100 times more beautiful than it looks in the photos. One of my co-workers saw it and immediately ordered one for herself.

Really, Its Okay!!! I was planning on buying at least 3 or 4 more watches from them (SDDS, GMT II, YM II, and something else) but this left a bad taste in my mouth. (I said that in a really "NICE" way to the AD) So, its really ok guys! i dont need to make a stink about it at store in front of other customers because thats the last time I do business with themplus! all of you know that its the ROLEX store in South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, CA. Im pretty sure none of you guys will buy anything from them and you'll spread the word??? SoI made my pointin a "very very NICE way." so, its cool! But I really want to thank you all again, its really cool that you guys understand.Tecky
Serial # 18003321 (Between Late 1910-1911)14k GoldI believe its a size 18.17 Jewels AdjustedWeighs 65 grams.. (or somewhere around that figure)Pictures :ImageShack Album - 10 imagesI wanted to know the value of this watch. It still works I know that but I did nothing to clean it or buff it out because I know it's an antique and I would be upset if I broke it (I left it as is), so I Just did some research about the watch and found out how old it was and I weighed it. Seems like a really cool watch. I see some of them going on ebay for a pretty penny. I thought maybe some of you guys would know the value of this watch and how much it can go for.Is it true the value of gold could be more valuable than the watch itself? Thats something that crossed my mind.Let me know your expertise. I'd love to hear your information reguarding the watch.Thank you.
Sorry, the previous thread, the pics links were moved so I have to re-post this thread. So this is the updated thread after I re-link them. Now it's working. I got some time today to spare so I whipped out my Nikon DSLR and tripod and started to shoot these. Almost all of my shots of the AP RO15400 that I posted in this forum have been captured with my Galaxy Note mobilephone cam so far. It's surprising how clear and sharp the pictures often turn out to be. Yet, as good as camera-phones have generally improved, it's still not adequate enough to challenge DSLR for really detailed close-up shots or low-lighting shots.Such as this :As a recent watch collector, I see my timepieces as not just mere watches but work of art that I can wear on my wrist, which especially in Haute Holorogie timepieces like Audemars Piguet, they are all finely crafted and meticulously furnished for our enjoyment. This is my 4th album of this watch and the first to use only DSLR. It's shot mostly with my Nikon D51
