Cartier Cartier 25300 wrist watches news:
Just screwing around with the Nikon and thought I should try taking a few pictures of the new GMT IIc.Matt...
Back around 1930, the Omega/Tissot watch company formed (or merged to become) the SSIH Company. This company went on to include, amongst others, Lemania and Lanco.Omega was the working mans watch and Tissot and Lanco were sold in the up-scale luxury department stores such as Macy', etc. This marriage lasted until 1985 when SSIH merged with SMH (Longines/Rado), re-organized and became The Swatch Company.During the period 1930 to 1985, this Lanco was the upscale sister Chronograph to the Omega Chronographs of the day. Possibly the great success and popularity of the Speedmaster introduced in 1957 was the driver that caused Swatch to drop great names and watches such as this. This one is 45 years old, runs flawlessly, and resides in the Omega box with it's more famous brothers and sisters..
Would anyone be able to give me a little advice concerning an Omega watch. Is there a way to get a posative ID from the case number. This particular watch has no dial which is why I need to find out what it is to get a new one.It has a calibre 625 movement. case number is 1110107.Also it has a plastic crystal which i'm guessing is non original. The front pops off whith the crystal. The movement comes out through the front. The back is small about the size of a 10 pence piece. The watch is also very slim.My best guess is that it's a Deville. Any help would be much appreciated.
WellI've never purchased a watch for more than $300 (I have some really nice pieces but I've never spent much). I think I want to start saving for a new watch but I want it to be one that I can wear every day of my life. I don't know if I want a big diver or a dress watch or something in between. I always talk about how much I love Maurice Lacroix watches but sadly I don't see many of them purchased.I have a growing vintage collection but I think modern sizes fit my abnormally large arms. I think I would like to spend less than $2000 (used is an option). What I've been looking at is a brand that has good recognition and is renowned for high quality, and accuracy. I think in this price range I should have a chronometer certified watch. I HATE chronographs but I love fancy complications and after owning a Boschett Reef Ranger I am pretty interested in simple designs toopanies I've been looking at tonight: Maurice Lacroix, Ball Watch Co. (Why doesn't their stupid website work?), Omega, and
I currently have a lower end Tag and am wanting to upgrade in watches but know nothing about them. I want something along the lines of an Omega Seamaster or Rolex Submarinar. Are there other quality watches that have this look. Price is a consideration with the Rolex being on the outer edge.I have sent my tag in twice for reparirs underwaranty so far so I am kind of disapointed in Tag's quality.Any help steering me in the right direction would be appreciated.Thanks.
