The above shows is the most recent-ish watches UTS adventure power reserve. UTS is a hardcore tool watch in Germany, with a very dedicated team shop and a small volume of watches every year. It is rare that they release a completely new product, and for the world of Basel, it is all that they have done. Adventure power reserve does not really seem like any other thing in their line.

Is anybody familiar with this vintage style. I saw one on the bay and it caught my eye. The seller called it a civilian update of the military style produced in 1949. I don't know if this was the original intention, but it seems to fit. I'll probably pass on it this week and keep my eye open in the future.

Hand-Wind Procedures
I could use a little advice please.I started, as most I imagine, with quartz watches. I then moved in to the world automatics - skipped right over the hand wind phase. Until today. So, I now find myself with a Sea-Gull 1901 movement and a question. What is the best winding procedure:Wind in the morning and then don't touch until the next morningWind in the morning and eveningWind when you think about it during the daySet an alarm for every 36 hours and only wind then (Just Kidding)What do you think? What gives the movement the best use and what is likely to yield the best timekeeping?Thanks,B

Braclet Market Strategy
I¡¯m a little curious. What if Rolex began offering the option to ditch the braclet on certain models (like the DJ or GMT) in favor of a strap? Certain brands do this already (Omega, Blancpain) and it lowers the cost of the watch by over $2k. This is especially useful for people (like myself) who prefer straps over bracelets, particularly on watches that aren¡¯t specifically designed to be in the water.Just wondering the general thoughts of the community.
