Bell & Ross BR01-92-R wrist watches news:
Last summer I told you about the new watch from Temption called the Cameo. It is their first square cased watch, and certainly unique. As is the case with most new watch announcements, the Cameo was announced long before actual release. Well, Temption has just announced that the Cameo is finally available. Actually, the watches are being shipped, but many are sold out until the beginning of 2009. For a company that makes fewer than 1000 watches a year, the demand for the Cameo watches must be overwhelming. Still, I don't doubt that Mr. Ulbrich, President of Temption is ensuring that each watch comes out perfectly.Temption is very proud of the process involved in attaching the sapphire crystal to the dial of the Cameo. As you can probably imagine, sapphire crystals are usually glued into place. This gives it a nice sealed look, but how strong is the bond? The Cameo uses a unique curved rectangular sapphire crystal (which I can imagine is expensive). Instead of gluing it to the dial and
My father in law has a blue TT Sub from the mid eighties and there isn't a crown on the crystal at the six o'clock position. When did Rolex start using the crown etching on the crystal or do they just do that on certain models?
Hi all,I am new here, I am from Italy and as I was born in 1958 I would like to find a nice (not too expensive) 1958 watch (that I can wear everyday). I like "sport" models more than very classic models and I prefer white metal (stainless steel) to yellow (gold). It should have a black dial. Any advice? Thanks in advance.Raul
Hi there to all Hamilton watch fans...found this forum this morning and thought I'd join and let people know what I've been doing...Bought myself a Khaki Field chronograph for myself for Xmas..it has a 42mm case, brown dial, display back, Valjoux 7750 movement..does not say 'Swiss Made' on dial, so probably assembled elsewhere...came with a small khaki strap that I have replaced with a bown leather Hirsch strap...well, this watch is comfortable to wear & keeps much better time then I expected(haven't had to wind it yet)..it is my new 'daily driver' watch...picked it up for $399.00 at Overstock...best bargain in mechanical watches I have come across yet..still, I plan on ordering the Khaki Officer chronopgraph this weekend(44mm case, black dial, large Arabic numerals, same movement, Swiss made)..while it is about $700.00, I still consider it to be a baragin for this class of watch!!!...anyway, I'll try to post a review of the watch once it comes in...I think I'll try to reserve spac
I spent the last week going to ADs looking/begging for a hulk but no luck. Today I received a call from a jewelry store that had one just in from a customer for $10,660 ....My options:1- buy it for a premium. 2- wait for my AD to call in 2 weeks for $9,460. 3- wait for the new year maybe prices will go down? The problem is that I¡¯m on 3 lists already, and I don¡¯t know if I will receive one yet especially if I let this one go to another guy. What if I pay they premium ($1,300) only to receive a call a couple of days later Appreciate your input
