Oddball Hamilton Pocket watch model 910 & 941
My grandfather died recently and being his apprentice he left me his jewelry repair shop. Going through his things I found a Hamilton pocket watch. The movement is engraved 910 but the serial numbers on the movement and the case don't match. According to info I found through reading other threads on the forum I found that the case is a 14k from a 941 made between 1899-1900 and the movement is a 910 made in 1917. Has anyone ever seen any combinations like this before? Does it add to or take away from the value? I took it to a pawn shop but the guy had no idea what to make of it then I took it to a watch shop but the salesmen was offended at the idea of me selling it. I have no sentiment attached to it and I'm sure there is someone out there who would appreciate it more than me. I just have no idea what it is worth beside the gold value.Sorry for the bad picture of the case but I cut my hand opening it and was bleeding profusely.

resale value of AP grand prix
Hi Guys,I'm considering picking up the ROO grand prix. I am constantly trading/selling pieces of my collection depending on mood. I never look at watches as investments but it's nice to know that I can move a piece with relative ease and not have to sell/trade at a deep discount. Not sure how much of a market there is for a limited piece like this? At it's current price point I think it may be a very niche market and most WIS would rather acquire something else for $30-35k. Curious what you guys think?

Daytona frenzy
Hi Guys,I'm looking into getting a 116500 but the gray market price seems out of control right now. Based on your guys experience with daytonas in the past, will the prices come back down anytime soon to MSRP levels or is it just going continue to go up?Also, is this a Rolex typical behavior of withholding inventory to create the hype and demand or is just the natural demand for daytonas?Thanks!
