The chronograph is a decidedly difficult complication to produce – that much we know. After all, up until about 15 years ago there were less than a handful of manually wound chronographs in existence. Another great tenet of watchmaking is that of the ultra-thin movement, a specialty practically owned these days but nobody but Piaget. It was last December that we caught a glimpse of a truly extraordinary timepiece – the Piaget Alitplano Chronograph – a manually wound, in-house chronograph with fly-back mechanism and GMT function that was only 8.24 mm thick. A COSC Beast
Shortly after receiving this beauty at 8:30pm Thursday 5/5 I sync'ed it with the world time server. I checked it this morning (Sunday 5/8 9:10am) and found that it had gained ONE FULL SECOND since then. So.........do you think I can get a refund? Any takers?

General thoughts on the 3970
Curious what people think of the 3970. It is by no means as illustrious as it's younger brother the 5970. But curious what people think of it in comparison to the 5270, 5970, 2499, 1518 ect....in some ways I feel like it's the black sheep of the family and the least desirable. The reason I ask is I feel it's amazing, the movement is great as we all know. The piston style pushers I prefer, the diameter and lugs and overall case is gorgeous. I realize there are a LOT of them out there and a lot were produced. Even white metal black dial...Thanks

Those with 2 watches decision on wearing them
For those with 2 watches how do you rotate/decide when to wear each of them.Looking for answers on those with 2 sport models. Obvious answer if 1 was a sport and 1 was a dress watch would be causal wear the sport and formal wear the dress watch.
