Recorded on Christmas day, this is the last of the episodes that will have John out of the country with a bad Internet connection! The show is really good though, and from now on we will be using good ol' American high-speed Internet! Happy New Year, all!John talks about good watches for skiing and talks about his Casio Pathfinder PAW-2000.? You don't want to get a white watch and lose it in the snow. But, there are good reasons to buy one, and they kind of are everywhere right now.? Chanel is to blame.Omega is the official timekeeper of the Olympics, now they have a collection of mainstream watches to tout thischronographs, seven days and Olympic rings are involved. The Magellan 1521 is discussed, as Ariel is reviewing it. Unique and Impressive!Listen to the HourTime show podcast episode 8 here.
The production of a single movement's components, depending on its complexity, involves 1,200 to 1,500 individual steps. It takes 3-5 years of research to develop a new model.1,035 employees are involved in the production of one timepiece.
Well they say every cloud has a silver lining. When my AD, Fraser Hart was forced to get rid of all their Omega Stock within 3 days, I was able to secure this Speedy date Automatic. I Should be picking it up in on Tuesday and the silver lining is I managed a huge discount of 25% as they needed rid of as many Omegas as Possible within that period.
Azguy just posted a thread about watch winders which has gotten me thinking that I need to invest in a watch winder. I'd love to say that my Omega will never come off my wrist but I'm not going to beat up my watch and can't wear a metal band on the ship.So do you guys have suggestions for a basic get the job done winder..Thanks,Tim
