Tag Heuer WAR211B.FC6181 wrist watches news:
Hi Ian, Jack here, and thanks so much for writing in.Well, those are really two questions – the first, whether you’ve made good choices and the second, whether the watches you have bought will hold their value. To the first, the person best equipped to answer is really you and you alone, but I think you’ve made solid choices in terms of getting things that are going to give you a lot of personal satisfaction. Your mail has the sound of someone who’s having a lot of fun with what he’s got.The second question is essentially impossible to answer; as an investment in a college fund, though, watches are probably kind of a terrible idea, I’m sorry to say, and looking forward to 2023, which is 8 years away, the only thing we can say is that anyone who says they know what the watch market is going to be like then is a terrible liar. Just looking for some opinions. I just bought the SMP in titanium Chronometer shown below. It's pre-owned but in mint condition. The other one is the Chronograph SMP also in Titanium and it's listed on Ebay for sale. The Ebay one has some scratches on the bezel otherwise it looks mint. The difference in price will be about $400 to $500. Should I sell the one I have and buy this one from Ebay instead? Mine Now:The one on Ebay:
So my affixation with Rolex started only recently in 2016, having bought my first decent mechanical watch in 2008 being the Breitling Super Ocean and then followed by an IWC Portuguese chrono, which is missed and a personal favourite from Darren Reay which was a cracking deal... Anyway fast forward to 2016 the Breitling went and was flipped for a used Rolex Explorer 2 Black dial followed by the IWC for the big hitter AP Royal Oak 15400, which is my most high end and least used watch for some reason, canÖÉ work that one out. Then in 2017 March I want the BLNR, in the uk a little difficult to source, Added myself to the local AD list, waited a month then add myself to a list in Wilmslow on the Friday and less than 24hrs had the call .. still canÖÉ work out what happened maybe put me at the top of the list in error, anyway the BLNR was in my collection.Roll on summer and the Sub mariner no date looked so perfect and still my most worn watch by a long way, not sure what it is with that one bu
Just a thought provoking exercise....Maybe it¡¯s been asked, I haven¡¯t seen it.I know I¡¯ve seen the debate on....¡°am I too young for yellow gold¡± OrTwo-tone is for ¡°old men¡±So I¡¯m curious....is there anyone who thinks a certain Rolex model says to you...I¡¯m too ¡°mature¡± for that model (too bright, too flashy, etc...) Or I¡¯m not old enough to pull that off? Happy Monday
