Bell & Ross BR02-92 Pink Gold and Carbon wrist watches news:
So I'm sitting here in my home office, and just looked around & realized I have 6 clocks in the room in plain view - and that's not counting any watches.. There is:the computer clock on WindowsAn atomic clock on the wall above the credenzaA 24" Seiko on the wall opposite the credenzaA clock on my desk next to my monitorAnother clock on the shelf on the "L" of my deskA clock on the bookshelf across from my desk. And this doesn't count the time on the 3 phones plus cell phone on my desk. Now before someone asks.. Yes - they are all set to the same time! So my question is, is this too many? Or not enough????? What's your thoughts...
Recently arrived Alpha Daytona and Newman. These are from Alpha USA, which come with view casebacks. Great watches, look great, running great. These use the Seagull Tianjin ST-19 movement modified with an additional 24 hour subdial at 6 o'clock to mimic a classic Tricompax look. I removed both bracelets. The bracelets Alpha uses on the Daytona/Newman models are pretty crappy. The chrono bracelets have good solid links with screws like the Alpha Sub bracelet, but cheap tinny single locking clasps and really cheap and flimsy looking hollow end links. The "semi-solid" end links and double locking clasp on the Alpha Sub bracelets are much better.I replaced the Newman's bracelet with that from an Alpha Sub. It was a tight fit, but once in place I think the look goes well with the case.
Picked up this Bulova recently. Love the retro style and smooth second hand sweep. Lots of value for $300.I didn't like the factory bracelet so I'm using a WJean shark mesh. Gives me a reason to find a higher quality mesh for my Airman.
Hi,I'm new to this forum and looking for some information. My father in law found and Elgin Ladies Diamond Watch. We had it appraised back in 1999 and it appraised at $7500.00 (triple kestone). We are looking to sale it and wanted to get a little more information about the watch before we make a decision. It has a serial number of 49526. The serial number was on the movement of the watch. It also said Elgin 832 19 jewels. From what we can find online with that serial number is was made around 1868-69. I just wanted to see if that was corrected and approximately what I could expect it to sale for or if we should just keep it and pass it on to the children? Any help would be greatly appreciated.ThanksDona
