Oris Watch ID- My First Blunder?
Not sure if this is the correct forum for this or not but I bought an Oris Big Wind Day that I thought was stunning. Then tried to research the movement and could find nothing on it at all. I haven't paid but did I end up with a replica or what? Been a quartz user all my life then I realize that manual / auto watches are a whole other world. Yikes!

HELP! Looking for 3572.50...
Hello all,Disclaimer alert: please forgive any error on my part, I am completely new to watches.I am looking to purchase a first watch as a wedding present and had my eye on the Speedmaster. By nature I'm very curious and having read several forums, blogs and articles, I've been leaning towards the new Hesalite (311.30.42.30.01.005) because of its vintage look and feel (and history), but at the same time I love the back sapphire case on the Sapphire Sandwich one.And so my research has led me towards the 3572.50, which basically has both features I'm looking for. Can anyone help me, is it possible to find a new 3572.50? If not, what would be the reliable and suggested way of purchasing it second-hand? Help me choose my next Omega
Hi guys,I am currently contemplating my next purchase. Having purchased my Rolex GMTIIc TT a month ago, I have been wearing that watch five days a week for the whole past month and I have realized that its looks too flashy and stupid on a pair of jeans or hoodies. Im thinking of keeping that watch for dressier occasions and getting an Omega Seamaster for casual everyday wear.I have previously owned an Omega SMP 300 quartz 'bond' and sold that because I couldnt stand the fact that it was quartz. I also owned an Omega PO 2500 42mm in black, and sold that because it looked too plain. My AD received several new pieces and one that really caught my eye is the 5960/01G. The blue dial, red hand accents along with the brown strap gave it a very sharp but casual look (which I like and looking for). Why isn¡¯t though that there is not much love for the 5960 in general? Is it the production run time, combination with the AC complication, price point (I am not overly concerned about resale value) or other options that may be available with a chrono complication? I am seriously debating whether to look into this further and adding it to accompany my AP chronos or selling one/both and just have the PP as my chrono complication in my collection. I heard something scary today
There is a previous thread about buying a Panerai without papers. This is a quasi follow up to that. I went to my Rolex/Panerai AD and she told me a story about a fake Panerai that an individual brought in for service. It made it through. They received estimates back on the repair from the panerai service center. It wasn't until the the go ahead was given for repair and watch was disassembled did the repair center realize it was not genuine. It was a story that I heard first hand from a woman I've done business with for years who isn't given to exaggeration. I guess now more than ever it's buyer beware.Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
