Making an ETA Movement"their own" calibre
Hey everyone,Found this article on the IWC forum, and thought it was very educational. I for one didn't know some manufactures get the raw ETA movements in raw pieces, completely unassembled and then prior to assembly by the manufacture they replace certain components. I think it gives a good glimpse into how a base movement is greatly modified & made into a semi-'in house' movement. Watch Winder Help
My wife purchased a Wolf Watch Winder for me for Christmas. It has the ability to wind clockwise, counterclockwise or both and can be set to start when you turn it on or after 12 hours. From what I can tell and my research on this brand it seems to be a very nice device.However, it doesn't keep my Oris Diver Date wound. If I leave it on the Winder for more than a day or so, my watch stops. Does anyone here have any advice for me? Should I use the clockwise setting? Or one of the other two? Does anyone one else have any problems with their Oris and watch winders?I've tried to do research on Google but most of the hits I get are for companies that SELL watch winders.Thanks.
