- This watch is simply beautiful. I wore to lunch with a friend and she could not keep her eyes off it. She said everytime I moved my arm the beautiful crystals would flash. It made me feel special to wear it.

Jaeger LeCoultre Jaeger LeCoultre 34698 wrist watches news:
Here's the story: My grandad died back in 1994, during the last few years of his life, he went a little crazy with old age (actually he was always a little crazy, in a good way that is :) and became a hoarder. His house became filled to the brim, mostly with trash and junk. He had so much stuff it was impossible to sort threw it all, but we kept several boxes of his letters and personal items. Now just the other day I was going threw one of these boxes when I came across several watches, all in bad shape missing bands and whatnot. One of these watches happened to be an Omega Ranchero, now I dont know jack about watches except how to read the time and that Omega is a respectable company. I gave it a crank and it started ticking away and keeping perfect time.I take this watch to a local repair shop to have it inspected and a band put on it, as I plan to wear it. The guy (who was a total A-hole) said that the watch wasnt worth much because the dial was somewhat faded and showing its age.
I was wondering if anyone has a good source for XL padded leather straps? I have a big wrist and some of the factory straps are too short. Thanks,Anthony
For those not familiar with the history of Seiko horology, the web site has the following..."Since 1997, Arctura has been the signature design for Seiko's kinetic technology. Arctura stands for strong, solid build quality and aerodynamic design inspired by the arc of nature; in rainbows or the curvature of the earth, the arc is central to nature's plan and Arctura draws its strength from the eternal beauty of this shape." Verbose? Perhaps, but copywriters get paid to write. The concept leads to some interesting designs.Kinetic chronograph model SNL055 is one of them. It measures 45mm across from 9 to 3 not counting the crown and is 13mm thick.Construction is solid brushed and polished stainless steel case and bracelet. The dial is brushed silver tone with 60-second, 45-minute, and central seconds sub-dials.The front crystal is scratch resistant sapphireThe watch has an exhibition case back to reveal the caliber 7L22 kinetic movement. Water-resistance is 100 metersThe bracelet is 28
Are there some nice pieces available with guilloche in around the $2500.00 range?I have a new office ordered...will be my last but to get the specs I needed it went about $15k above budget so there's only around $2500.00 left and I was kinda thinking a new watch would be in order too.
Call me difficult, but I would like to point out the loose usage of this term by numerous sellers on TRF.May I respectfully request that this term be reserved for reference to the Omega Speedmaster Professional watches only? If it's an automatic you're talking about, it simply can't be a moon watch. Some purists might urge that this term reference only models like the 145.012 and 105.012. However, omega itself refers to both vintage and current Speedmaster Professional watches, ie 3570.50, as moon watches. My impression is that it helps prevent misunderstandings if we agree on the definition of terms. What do you think?
