Omega 231.53.49.10.06.001 wrist watches news:
Hi,I have an Elgin grade 64 from 1883. It was sold to me as 6s, also in the internet pocket watch database it says size 6. But the watch measures approximately 36,4 mm. So shouldn't this be more size 8? I tried to put the movement in a case, which was sold to me on ebay as size 6. The movement didn't fit. I also have an Elgin grade 45, also listed with size 6 in the database, which is a little smaller. So my question: are the informations on the internet wrong? Or did the sizes change during the time? Which case do I have to look for? Thanks for teaching me.Cheers,MarcoBy the way: if anyone has a fitting case, feel free to contact me. I repaired, cleaned and oiled the watch and it is keeping terrific time for a 131 year old granny :-D
If you had to choose between 2 watches which one would you choose. An Oris or an Omega. What I am looking for is opinions on what is better between movements, style, durability, perfection, and customer service. What I am NOT looking for is, bashing between the 2 watches. Thanks everyone.1) Oris Divers Titan Chronograph 47mmETA 7750, Ref 01 674 7599 7154-07 8 24 70PEB 2) Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean Chrono45.5mmCaliber: Omega 3313Self-winding chronograph movement with column wheel mechanism and Co-Axial Escapement Reference: 2210.51.00
Here is my new 15400... I absolutely love it.i definitely need a extra link though. I just go to AP and they do it for me? How long does it take? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I love the 3120 movement, so I'm kicking around the idea of the RO, or jumping up a bit to the Diver. I already have two white dial watches, so I've been looking at the black 15400 and 15710s, but the white-dialed SS Diver catches my eye too. There seems to be a lot more white ones up for sale, as well. The contrast of the internal bezel on the white dial is a nice touch, too. Does anyone have some good live pics of the white vs the black dials? Wrist shots of all kinds welcome!thanks guys!
This is one hard watch to find these days....but I'm finally proud to be a new owner of a 15300! Since none of the forums sellers had it, I had to turn to the ADs. After calling more than half the dealers from AP's site yesterday, when one of them said: yes, we do have that one....I knew right there I would finally own one, and after a wire transfer and day later, it's on my wrist.I had tried the 15400, it's an amazing watch, but the way it sat on my wrist I felt it was too big. I absolutely love this watch, very comfortable so far, light weight, love the AP logo at the 12 o clock. My first AP and more to come...Now should I get the rose gold, black dial with black strap as well....?
