Maurice Lacroix LC6068-SS001-132 wrist watches news:
Picked up a 1971 Hamilton Electric 2001 in 14K gold. The only info that I can find about it is at the Hamilton Museum web page. Is it rare or just another 14k gold Hamilton. Thanks
Quite honestly I purchased this timepiece because I thought it was a great price for a classic looking watch. I really did not realize the class into which I was buying. The ML15 is an excellent movement.A standard ETA with a DD module and in-house additions by the craftsmen of Maurice Lacroix to add the big date and month of year features. But I was intrigued by the reference to "precious silver dial" in the operators manual for this Masterpiece Collection piece. A little research shows the dial of the watch is actually fashioned from 925 grade sterling silver. It is an amazing dial. This watch is fast becoming the center piece of my collection.

I had never seen such a caseback engraving before and asking if any vintage Omega experts might know about or have seen similar casebacks. The watch is in bad shape and looks like a a similar case as a vintage Omega Automatic I currently own. Mine is a 1965 and this looks like that era model. But it is not a dive watch for sure - looks like a model that fell between the dive line and the Deville models. So did Omega use the Seamaster name on some non-dive watches?Any insights are much appreciated. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
So she says, I like this more than your Rolexes! I'm starting to feel the same way. I love this watch. I've read many times it's the entry level Patek, but that's like saying a Boxster is a poor man's Porsche. A Porsche is a Porsche and a Patek is a Patek...
