Bell & Ross WW1 Chronograph Monopoussoir wrist watches news:
Halios watches probably needs little introduction on worn&wound. Over the last few years, the Vancouver based dive watch brand has earned a reputation for making great, unique watches. We previously reviewed two versions of their Tropik watches, one in bronze and the other in steel, both of which earned high regards from us. Stylish, restrained, well built, well priced¡ they were hard not to like.Last October, Jason, the founder of Halios, brought his wares down from Canada to show at our Wind-Up: NYC event. He had on display samples of all of his watches, from the coveted 1000M Puck to his newest at the time and the topic of this review, the Delfin. It was love at first sight. I'm not sure how many times I went over to his booth and quietly picked it up to ogle and try on, but hopefully I didn't annoy him too much. Needless to day, I knew I had to review it.Fast forward a few months and here we are with the Delfin PVD, the follow up to the initial stainless model. Sporting a sophi
Hey guys! Just found this forum and decided to make a first post. I've been collecting watches for about year and a half now. Inherited some watches from my father including a 1960 Bulova manual wind. Now, i'm kind of hooked!Anyhow, figured i'd post my first Benrus. Scored it on ebay for $20. Pictures make the dial look really terrible. . .it's not. . .the crystal is really scratched. I plan on cleaning it up and replacing the band. Anyone know anything about this particular watch?-James
Exinnix posted a thread asking for any input on his numbered (but not LE) Speedmaster. It made me wonder, how many of you have Limited Edition - numbered - watches? I'd love to see what's lurking in your watch box, and does the specific number have any significance to you?I'll kick this off with my WTF Park Avenue - number 12 of 30 made for WTF.(12 is my birthday. :))
1. TraditionAudemars Piguet is the oldest surviving fine watch-manufacture still operating under the control of members of its founding families. Maintaining independence throughout its 137 year history has given them enormous control over creative direction and quality. Buy an Audemars Piguet because you want a share in their tradition of fine watchmaking, not because of their commercial value. 2. DesignAudemars & Piguet were brought together in 1875 by a shared passion for mastering complex watch mechanisms and creating innovative designs. These principles still characterize Audemars Piguet watches today. Last year saw the 40th anniversary of the iconic Royal Oak, which was designed by Gerald Genta in 1972 and retains its original features to this day. 3. In-House MovementsJules Audemars the watchmaker had a reputation for being able to master even the most complicated mechanisms. In his honour Audemars Piguet continue to create movements in-house.
