Dilemma - Patek or Rolex....
Need some advice from the experts.First some background,I've been collecting watches for a few years, current collection comprises mostly sports models, Rolex SD, GMT old and new, Panerai 86 and 112, Zenith Rainbow, Omega Speedmaster.I was all set to settle on the new Rolex Sub, placed my order at my AD etc etc, when I came across the Patek Aquanaut by chance, sweet looking watch! PP is not a brand I have considered at all but the Aquanaut looks great, is a sports watch that I think will do formal wear much better than the Rolex/Panerai. Here in Perth Oz, I can't just pop down the road and have a look at a PP....So I am after opinion from you Blokes, the watch that is calling me is the 5167A. All comments would be appreciated - Rolex ceramic sub vs Aquanaut. I know there is a price differential so leave price out of the comments please.I know if I asked this question over in the Rolex forum the answer would be get the Sub!:DCheers

Just picked this one up on the 'Bay:The price ended up being so cheap for a running grade 207 with nice engraving that I went for it despite the questionable dial.Does anyone know if the Andover came with an enamel dial? when it comes time to choose an actual watch, nothing that convinces you to buy. Anyone else have this problem?I have that with Hamilton and Ball. I like the name, history, and even the detail on some of the watches. But I can't get a specific watch that sings just the right tune

Fortis or Zeno?
I want a nice clearly readable watch, like a fleager watch. Which one would be a better value if I bought it used? Fortis or Zeno Basel? I would like at least a 45mm dia watch with numbers and hands that really glow wellAlso would like an automatic winding one.Anyone have suggestions on models, or where I can look for one used? Get your watch serviced every 5-7 years or not?
I don't know wether it's best to get your watch serviced every 5-7 years, as recommended, or as some say as long as it works and keeps good time don't send it for servicing, especially for pams I have heard a lot of negative or very negative feedback, what is your opinion on this issue?Personnally I would be more in the tendancy of not sending it as long as it works fine, the 4 watches that I wear the oldest has 1,5 years, of course my 3 pams are much older but i bought them 100% unworn brand new, in mechanical watches I have omega seamaster, 5 years, a very old omega gold chrono handwound which was bought by my father in 1955, but he wore it on special occasions, in no way as an everyday watch, and a Breitling chrono which is around 20 years, after 10 years it started loosing 5-7 minutes everyday, when I asked for a price of servicing I was told 800 euros, that was 10 years ago, since I wasn't wearing it anymore I didn't do it, so basically the experience I had is that the Breitling s
