Purchased my first Rolex and couldn't be happier
The title seems ironic since I'm only 21 but I've been wanting one my entire life and I received it yesterday. I spent 4 days walking in and out of the AD and dealing with the store manager (a fellow watch enthusiast so it was a pleasure). I went to several estate shops and saw a few watches. They were in OK condition, not great. Had no papers, no box, and the person helping me did not know a single detail about the watch and frankly did not seem to believe that I was serious about the watch. It just did not feel right. The store manager of the AD however, treated me like absolute gold. He was a fellow Michigan Wolverine and attended to every single question and was extremely excited that I seemed to be knowledgeable about Rolex (althought not as much as him). He had ordered me a pre-owned no date-sub from another AD. When I arrived, the other AD had sent the wrong watch. However, I tried on the watch and absolutely fell in love, even more so then when I tried on a sub. The condition i

Grande Complication at NY boutique
I swung by the 57th St boutique today to pick up the 2012 catalog and had the unexpected opportunity to spend a little time with the Grande Complication! One of the technicians spent about 15 minutes taking me through its features. The one they have in the store has a beautiful rose gold plate arrangement beneath the sub-dials. Somehow I was so mesmerized I didn't think to snap some pictures . Apologies..The boutique staff really does justice to a brand that deserves to be represented by the best. There's always a thrill there..
