You can disagree with me but I think that watches containing hand-painted dials are pretty cool. Especially when the dials depict actually masculine things like dragons. Most of these watches seem to be of flowers, fairies, or family portraits. I can dig these. Not on a daily basis, but I can dig these pretty well.Angular Momentum is no stranger to hand-painted enamel dials. I am pretty sure that such is their current bread-and-butter. This new set called the 9 Dragons Collection has nine different watches each with a unique style of dragon on the dials. Each dial is done in a "Verre Eglomise" miniature painting, with a small opening cut into them offering a view to a time disc. Telling the time in this way is not super precise, but offers a surprisingly clear and simple way of showing the time with a disc moving along a time-indicating needle.My favorite part of the collection is that the watches depict different types of dragon styles. We've never covered a Wenger watch before, but with the introduction of the AeroGraph Countdown Chrono at Basel this year, with it's interesting combination of style and functionality, we figured it was finally time.

Tired of all the usual Benrus this and Elgin that? Here's a unique little Waltham to liven things up.I've never seen a hooded lug case design where the strap attached to the back. Makes a smart looking home for a 1936 grade 887 movement.Don't always believe the inscription date. 1916? Might be a birth date. Was it popular to celebrate 20th birthdays in the 30s?Case not marked Waltham but it amost has to be original to this movement.Need to find the right strap to fit and commplement this style.Joel

Used Rolex Manufacturing Year
I am helping a friend look for a used Datejust right now. He made a comment to me that it appears most of the used Rolexes he comes across are credited as being manufactured in 2007. I am not sure that he has influenced me to be more cognizant of this, but it does appear that disproportionately more available used Rolexes are credited as 2007 model years. Does anyone else find this to be true and if it is, why would this be?
