Breguet 7137BB/11/9V6 wrist watches news:
We often see sports stars endorsing watch brands (as ambassadors), or specific models (within advertising). It's something a bit more on the rare side for a brand to create an edition in honor of a specific athlete - but that's exactly what Milus has done. The athlete in question is the footballer Roberto Carlos (wiki), who retired from the sport just last year. Starting with their Zetios Chronograph, Milus has incorporated, in a subtle manner, the colors of the Brazilian flag. And it's a welcome bit of color, set as it is against a carbon fiber dial and 45mm DLC-coated case.Set within the CF dial, you of course have the chronograph and small seconds subdials. The 30-minute chrono and small seconds registers are encircled in yellow, while the 12-hour register features a blue circle; all three sport color-matched hands. Rounding out the accent colors of the flag on the dial, you've got green appearing on the chapter ring to mark out the minutes.Depending on which of the three editi
Need some help identifying this watch. It belonged to one of my parents and think it's from the late 40's. I think the serial number is 8469220 from the back of the movement. When I ran the serial number it told me it was made around 1951. Later than I thought as my parents graduated high school about 1942-43. I have attached pictures to help. There are a lot of numbers inside the back of the case. some stamped but a bunch scratched and engraved. I know it is 10k gold filled and it runs and keeps perfect time when I remember to wind it. I appreciate any help you can give me and THANKS in advance.Terry
I just found out that the watch I dropped off on 6/12/2012 won't be ready till 12/18/2012 then takes two more weeks to get to the Omega boutique....So I guess New Years will be a fun and expensive day for me. Shesh 6 and a half months for a repair..
I have a 5712A and love it so much that I am trying to add a 5711 (also blue dial). But lately, I am wondering whether the AP Royal Oak 15202ST would be better? Would love to know what you think, and posting this on the Patek forum intentionally as I love Patek and want to make sure the input is from others who do as well. And to be clear, I do not want a 5711 in a white dial, even though that may seem like the obvious choice. Some of my thoughts: The 15202 is more of a different experience than my 5712A compared to what the difference the 5711A would be, and I love the two hand look (but I also like being able to see the movement in action by way of a second hand). Also, as much as I like AP, I prefer Pateks (all things being equal).I am unlikely to sell either, so better resale value, while nice, isn’t a driving force. And obviously, I will be able to get the 15202 much sooner than the 5711, and it is a touch cheaper as well, when purchased new from an AD.All votes and replies a
Rolex newbie here, but quite an Omega guy though.I have a budget of 4 - 4,5 K GBP for a first Rolex. I really like the look of Explorer 16570, so plenty of choices there, with or without papers. So far, so good. Even you can get it on a 12 months lease when buying from Goldsmiths or Watchfinder, no matter that they sell them really expensive, but with piece of mind as providing 12-24 months of warranty and full service before supplying the watch.I was thinking...well, to be honest, the bracelet of these Explorers 2 is not the greatest,I know it`s comfortably probably most of you will say, but majority of the watches are with folded end links. Even the ones with the SELs, they still have the cheap looking and feeling flimsy , Tissot thin buckle ,which I personally more likely don't appreciate at all. And this brings me to the core of my emotional battle with myself , particularly part 1 - why I just don't pay like 300-400 more and get a brand new Explorer 214270 with lumed indices and l
