Breguet 3137BR/11/986 wrist watches news:
Good morning all! I'm new here; registering last week. I don*t, unfortunately, own an Omega yet. But I have a great appreciation for fine watches (and firearms) as my step father has a few Omegas and I*ve always been envious of them. I*ve been trying to convince the wife that I need an Omega (looking hard at the 2255, Electric Blue) and I think I*ve got her worn down! LOL. Anyway, I figured I would just pop in and say hello. I don*t have a lot to offer you guys, but I admire the great photography!Thank,Aaron
While waiting at the eye doctor w/ my son, I glanced through an automotive magazine and saw an article titled something like the following. "Here's a list of the seven books that anyone interested in cars should own." I didn't read the piece (because I'm not that invested). But it got me thinking Which books would be on your list, and why? Not talking about those great books that serve our own particular interests, mind you. For example, given my focus on wristwatches related to James Bond, I've come to like Breitling: The History of a Great Brand of Watches 1884 to Present, by Benno Richter. And I think Vintage Rolex Sports Models: A Complete Visual Reference & Unauthorized History, by Martin Skeet & Nick Urul is the best in class for 007 and early Rolex models. But that's too limited for this question, too specific to my tastes. One of the 7 most important books that I'd recommend for anyone interested in wristwatches is Watch: History of the Modern Wrist Watch Design 1950 - 19
I was setting the date and when I went to wind the watch to power the reserve, I noticed that there were several moments when there was no resistance at all. The crown would just spin without the usual grinding sound that indicates it is winding. It would just turn, silently, without any resistance. I have a few months on the warranty... should I take it is or is this normal? Thanks, gents, for any insight.
Hi everyone,I have a chance at getting either a brand new Panerai Pam 372 or a very good condition Pre-owned full complete set that is about $1100 cheaper. My question is, would you buy the New or Pre-owned Pam 372. Is $1100 a big enough saving to go Pre-owned or is it better to buy it new?Would really appreciate some thoughts and opinions.Thanks,Mar1140
so my last purchase was a submariner and now i have decided that i would definitely love a panerai 392. meets all the criteria. date without bubble, 42mm, SS etc. but i have a conundrum. i could buy it in the uk new but pay a premium or wait until i go on holiday later this year and buy it from a official dealer for a saving of ㏒1000 plus the tax(i guess, having not looked into it). i am not in any rush but i was hoping for some wise words from the forum
