Hello all. A few days ago I found a watch very similar to this. Seiko Champion. I know that this is a mod, originally a 6309? The watch that I can't find may have been a liitle different, the lighting seemed brighter. Anyways, I like the look. What are the easiest, cheapest seiko automatics that can be modded? Thanks. *

Not Sure About This Electric Blue
Hi all, I have seen an Electric Blue¡± for sale with loads of photos. Seller says it was purchased from Singapore in 2002, seller says the watch has only been worn twice and has sat in a drawer for eight years and from the photos I could believe this. However, what is causing me concern is the serial number as there is just something about it raising a question mark in my head: Photo of serial number: Brian

Some thoughts on perpetual calendars
Recently I previewed a very beautiful Ref 3448 in white gold from 1975. A true grail watch that hides a lot of complexity beneath a very clean and simple dial and case. It was quite magical on the wrist.But it got me thinking again about Ref. 5320. Ref. 3448 has no leap year indicator but is in a 38.5 mm case. Ref. 3445 is different to Ref. 3448 as it has a leap year indicator but therefore makes the dial offcentered.The 5320 has a leap year indicator and on top of that has a day/night indicator (which although rather useless, gives the dial nice symmetry). I think in the larger case of the Ref. 5320, the leap year and day/night look good and balanced. The watch is interesting as it combines a sporty look with luminescent markers and hands, but at the same time is a very classical complication with clear vintage lineage. DJ41 Dilemma.. opinions please!
I have decided to treat myself to something with my incoming bonus.. and have now decided on my first Rolex! It will be a big upgrade on my current ¡ê300 TW Steel and one I have really wanted for the last couple of years as my income has sharply risen . I had never really seen one that grabbed me until I seen option A below in a shop window recently..I know it's a bit bling bling but I think it also looks kind of classy. Then I was considering option B as a less bling bling option when I stumbled across someones post on here with option C which looked much more beautiful than on the Rolex Website imo!Would welcome other opinions. Will be worn to work with suit, worn out to dinners and most likely cuddled throughout the night whilst I sleep. On another note - I went in to have a look and they didn't have A or B but can get it from another store (about 10-15 Rolex Stores in the city) within an hour of ordering.
