Breguet 3330BB1E986 wrist watches news:
I have a PloProp on order for about 5 weeks but haven't received it yet, anyone else having this problem? I have noticed that no post have been made in the past few weeks so just wondering if anyone may have a insight to the problem?? and what the normal waiting period is on a ordered watch? My AD said 2-6 weeks.
JBHII,First, thank you for providing a great source of information, entertainment, and escape.Second, let me say I am sorry for taking you and your administrators for granted. You have made this a fun and educational site and I think it's a shame negative remarks sometimes find their way to you.I have tried to participate in other watch fora and have lost interest due to the negative focus most seem to have. I have seen several other sites belittle newer members when they ask questions, trying to learn about members. I have found this site to be friendly and generous when it comes to sharing information. Thanks for all you do,diver
hi there.I'm kind of new to this hobby (or maybe its a passion) but i've started into collecting 30's - early 50's Gruens with a few Elgins, Benrus and Roamer thrown into the mix. I also have some newer watches, a very nice Seiko Tank, an extremely nice Seiko Lassale and one of my favourite affordable new watches a Tissot Le Locle. I'll spend most of my time on the Gruen website but enjoy popping in here to see what is happening, learn a few things (ok, a lot of things) and admire some of the watch pics.
Visited the AP boutique, saw something and had get out of there fast!
I know there's been lots of talk about the astronomical prices of SS sports watches on the used market these days. The reasons for the increases seem to be partly rational, i.e. permanent/temporary freezes on production of certain models, the Basel effect, etc. Some of it seems to be due to hive mind, speculation, and collective panic.I'm fairly new to the Rolex game, so I was wondering if those with some institutional memory can pipe in as to whether used prices tend to be cyclical and we can expect them to come down a bit after Basel, or whether they are likely to head inexorably upward.Any opinions?
