Vintage Omega help
ATTENTION all vintage experts!! HELP!About a year ago I picked up this watch at an estate sale. It's a caliber 361 in good working condition but poor case and dial. I just got it back from my AD who sent it to Bienne to have restored. They called me saying Omega didn't have parts for this watch any longer and would not proceed with any work. The photos show the movement which looks very good considering. Also, the condition issues that I am most concerned withthe dial and the lugs. The previous owner put on a Spiedel bracelet which dug into the lugs over time. So the question is, if you owned this watch what would you do with it?

Newbie alertThink I've got the basics of how to use my new (vintage) chronograph. Think stopwatch.But could someone walk me through the markings on the outer dial? The first one appears to be 1000, between the 3- and 4-minute positions. After that, not evenly spaced, to 80 at the 9 o'clock position, then ending at 60 for the top of the dial.Walk slowly, please. Thanks!

Hey guys, I'm new here, have been a watch fan for a long time.Was my recent decision stupid? I sold my Omega Seamaster (made just a $2 profitstill better than losing money, I suppose!) and ended up buying two watches: a simple Once Again Swatch for 50 bucks as a "beater" and an Invicta 8926 for $166 (with tax included; I now realize I could have paid a bit less online). Was it stupid to sell the Omega? It was a fine watch, but I found the looks somewhat conservative, and friends were mistaking it for a cheap Citizen or Seiko even though it was a nice chunk of changeplus I was always afraid of scratching or dropping it.The Invicta, on the other hand, was only $166 and looks to most people including my own eye to be a much higher end and more sophisticated watch. Sure, the bracelet feels a bit cheap, but it looks good. The movement is a little loud in my opinion, others online have echoed this sentiment I believe, but it keeps fantastic time thus far.And, of course, I wish it had a sap

How do you guys feel now about ¡°The Rolex Way¡± regarding SS sport models availability, waiting lists, inability to purchase a popular Rolex model for years, price, etc? I¡¯m not bashing Rolex, I¡¯ve been a proud owner for 16 years, I don¡¯t question what the Rolex brand stands for but I do question their recent business model and the treatment of it¡¯s core customer base.
