- Beautiful watch...and very versatile. Even though it is very sporty, it can be worn for an evening out on the town. This is a substantial watch, which is typical for Oris. My third Oris...and my favorite one so far!!

Breguet 3637BA/12/986 wrist watches news:
So fooshishly I search eBay again looking for that unique cheap as dirt vintage . So I came across a vintage basis sports telemetre watch. It looks good had three hours left on auction seems rare and cheap unusual looking why not . So I did and I got it . Sooooo , all I need to know is what is the true value of such thing I paid all but ¡ê 24.50 excluding postage . Think I got a good deal . To my untrained dunce knowledge , I would guess it to have a pin lever movement possibly even no jewels . Similar to a globa or cimier or rego.Any info much appreciated.Josh.image.jpg
Hi,I'm an English guy living in Strasbourg, France...I just thought I would introduce myself.I am new to watch collecting. I am an investor by trade but also have a hobby business dealing with very rare and highend audio equipment, the majority both to and from Japan and Asia...hence my posting here.Is there a book about Japanese and Asian watches I could buy?I have read some information about Grand Seiko and their early watches. They look very impressive but they appear to be very rare and relatively expensive. Did they change the face of watch manufacture with respect to accuracy with their quartz movement? I see that they produced a Grand Seiko Astronomical Observatory Chronometer (try saying that after a few glasses). Do you think that this is the pinnacle of rare Seiko? I would like to begin a collection but want to start on the right footing! My apologies for so many questions on a first post :) Have a nice evening.RegardsRichard
THIS IS AMAZING, not really news but so cool:
Hello again, I am still in search for my next watch. I had been looking at the Ladies Speedmaster, because of its small size, I have a very small wrist. But another watch was recommended the Omega Moonwatch 39.7mm. Can anyone who has one give me their opinion of the watch. Also what are the advantages and disadvantages of a manual wind watch compared to an automatic? Will this watch require more frequent servicing? Will this watch need to be wound daily? I generally prefer bracelets, is a replacement bracelet for this watch expensive. Thank you for your assistance.Hoops10
Hi there, I was hoping someone here could give me some advice regarding the Rolex he gave me... It is a Oyster Perpetual Rolex with the bark dial and middle links. Unfortunately he lost the links he removed and it is very tight. Before I go to the local jeweler who is Rolex authorized and order some replacements, I thought I would check to see if anyone had suggestions. I would rather not pay $500 to $1000 per link, but not sure what to else do. Was wondering if any aftermarket links would be ok. I found a few that said they were 18kt gold solid and not hollow. but for $270, I don't think that would be 18kt? I don't care too much if they are non Rolex...and I am not planing to sell it. Input appreciated. Dave
