Wish I won a little more in Vegas this week (Sweet Daytona Sighting)
Hello all. I just got back from my yearly vacation with my wife to Las Vegas. I did pretty well in that I paid for all of our dinners and shows with winnings and still had a little over $1000 left but I wasn't quite able to swing a new watch. That part really bums me because I actually saw one that I liked at what I believe to be a great price. Most of the shops sell everything at retail or more with no discounting from what I've seen. However I saw one shop that was selling a brand new, just came in, Daytona 116520 black dial for the MSRP of $9925. The Daytona has only recently grown on me so I don't know near as much about them, but from what I've seen they tend to go for well over MSRP. Should I do the credit thing for a year to put the rest of the money together to buy this watch? I'm thinking that I could probably even sell it for a profit if I really wanted and then be able to use my current watch fund and the profit for either a used Pepsi Bezel GMT or a new Explorer II with bla

Problem Setting Seiko Perpetual Calendar (Model SNQ045, Caliber 6A32)
I bought this watch brand new and it has worked very well for over 4 years now.Other Watches - Perpetual Calendar - SNQ045| SEIKO CORPORATION OF AMERICAEarlier this year, the original battery died and I took it to a local, certified Rolex repairman with a good reputation for properly re-sealing the watertight casing after replacing the battery. When I got the watch back, the date was correct and it kept good time. However, I put it up for a few days around the end of April and when I took it back out to wear, I noticed that the date was a day late (i.e. the date was the 3rd when it should have been the 4th.)I can only assume that when the Rolex guy reset the date for me, he didn't know how the Seiko perpetual calendar worked and got it wrong. Has anyone purchased a "Grail" watch and been disapointed with it? I so far have not, but it must have happend to someone. Tell us your tales of woe. I'am not starting a brand bashing thread. Just curious.
