Breguet 5817BA/12/AV0 wrist watches news:
Okay, let me just preface this by saying two things. First of all, I apologize in advance for the very lengthy post, but I have some reflection to do, and I hope that you all will appreciate the unique analysis of my latest purchase, with respects to the way that it made me feel psycologically. Secondly...this little watch hobby of mine is all the fault of Mr. John Holbrook! The Rolex Reference page got me started on it, and regardless of the fact that I'm finding out that this is a rather expensive hobby...I really don't care anymore. Never before have I had such a hobby or interest that has brought me the personal satisfaction as owning these lovely watches. I have everyone here to thank for this being such an enjoyable hobby, but I have John to thank for pretty much single handedly getting me started into the watch collecting world! I appreciate it, my friend! So here's how it goesbefore I started with my very first (the Sea-Dweller), I knew for sure that one day I'd have me
Hello all. I just got back from my yearly vacation with my wife to Las Vegas. I did pretty well in that I paid for all of our dinners and shows with winnings and still had a little over $1000 left but I wasn't quite able to swing a new watch. That part really bums me because I actually saw one that I liked at what I believe to be a great price. Most of the shops sell everything at retail or more with no discounting from what I've seen. However I saw one shop that was selling a brand new, just came in, Daytona 116520 black dial for the MSRP of $9925. The Daytona has only recently grown on me so I don't know near as much about them, but from what I've seen they tend to go for well over MSRP. Should I do the credit thing for a year to put the rest of the money together to buy this watch? I'm thinking that I could probably even sell it for a profit if I really wanted and then be able to use my current watch fund and the profit for either a used Pepsi Bezel GMT or a new Explorer II with bla
Hi, I'm new here, I need help to verify if this is real or not, If is real how much is the value, is in poor condition, 18k electroplated, and not sure if is in working condition. Thanks
I bought this watch brand new and it has worked very well for over 4 years now.Other Watches - Perpetual Calendar - SNQ045| SEIKO CORPORATION OF AMERICAEarlier this year, the original battery died and I took it to a local, certified Rolex repairman with a good reputation for properly re-sealing the watertight casing after replacing the battery. When I got the watch back, the date was correct and it kept good time. However, I put it up for a few days around the end of April and when I took it back out to wear, I noticed that the date was a day late (i.e. the date was the 3rd when it should have been the 4th.)I can only assume that when the Rolex guy reset the date for me, he didn't know how the Seiko perpetual calendar worked and got it wrong. So, I took out my instruction book (See the link below) and attempted to set it myself.seikousa/support/ib/pdf/SEIKO_6A32_E.pdfAccording to page 8 of the document above, you're supposed to pull the crown out 1 click and then press the button fo
