Breguet Breguet 31659 wrist watches news:
Follow-up review from Guy in Canada, winner of the MTM Silencer watch giveaway on watches-dealer last October.I was very pleased to hear that I had won the MTM Special Ops Silencer from watches-dealer and am grateful for the opportunity to share my impressions of this timepiece. I selected the silver model being a traditionalist and was not disappointed when it arrived by FedEx.I opened the shipping box to find the MTM Special Ops box which contained the Barracuda case (which is waterproof) and which provided an extra layer of protection. The watch was also encased in dense foam. Inside were the watch, warranty card, manual, dog tags, link removal tools, two extra link pins, and induction charger. The first impression, once removed from its confines, was the feel and weight. This is a substantial timepiece, solidly built and definitely not for the weak of wrist. The other noticeable aspect is the girth or thickness of the watch. The casing is made of titanium and is 15.4mm thick whereas
Coming to you live from the south of France, where I was just shown a brand new limited edition Blancpain chronograph that has a lot going for it. Its official name is the Ocean Commitment Bathyscaphe Flyback Chronograph, but what it is to us collectors is a limited edition take on the new Bathyscaphe chrono shown at Basel this year with an awesome new high-beat, in-house chronograph. There is a lot to like here, and on top of this new watch, Blancpain also announced a massive, 475-page chronicle of the entire history of the Fifty Fathoms, the very first modern dive watch. 2 OF 4 First, the watch. This limited run of 250 watches features a gorgeous blue dial, with blue ceramic bezel. But what is most interesting (IMHO) is that while the case looks like either brushed steel or titanium, it is neither. It is, in fact, a matte grey ceramic. It's light and tough, but with the look of traditional materials. This new piece looks fantastic, and I think it's easily my fav

Hey guys, Since joining this forum, I've decided to rewind a cheap mechanical clock that I bought once when I went off on a holiday. In the past, this clock kept pretty decent time. But in recent months, the clock has been losing time every single day - even on a full spring. Short of taking it to a clock/watchmaker, what can I do to get the clock to keep time? I thought a few generous squirts of lubrication-oil would be sufficient to do the job. Is this enough? Or must I do more? Also, what kind of oil should I use? I think dad has a can of metal lubricant-oil SOMEWHERE around the house, but short of that, could I just use (shock-and-horror) olive-oil? Yours, Shangas.-EDIT: I'm well aware that this is a WATCH forum, but I saw it as being a waste of time to join a clock forum just to ask one tiny little question since I could probably ask it here.
Hey everyone, first off I want to thank all of you for the enormous amount of knowledge I¡¯ve acquired over the last couple of weeks being part of the community. I plan to purchase my first Rolex in 6-9 months. I want to be absolutely sure I pick a watch that I love and know it is the right decision. I am in between a black Sub with date and Yachtmaster with rhodium dial.My thoughts on the two are as follows:Sub: can¡¯t go wrong with it and is abolsutey timeless and classic. I see myself getting one disregard if it is my first purchase or not.Yachtmaster: still timeless and gorgeous, but also has the interesting appeal because you don¡¯t see those everyday.I¡¯ve always said I wanted a sub (even when I was in college), but then saw the Yachtmaster and thought oh wow that¡¯s what I want. Now I am torn in between the two.Would love to hear everyone¡¯s pros and cons and what their ultimate decision would be!Thanks!
