- The pictures do not do this watch justice - it is much more classy and sparkly (but not in a cheap way) in person! The ceramic is really smooth and creamy and it goes with anything from jeans and a tee to a cocktail dress. Watches almost never fit my wrists comfortably but this one is a perfect fit (unfortunately, if you have petite wrists it may slip off so you'll have to adjust accordingly). I compared a lot of less expensive (and more expensive) watches of similar design including some of the silicone strap ones but this one is by far the best. Love it!

I am looking at a Patek Philippe dress watch for frequent, if not daily, use. Hence, I require an automatic movement and would prefer the watch to show date as well.I have been in store to look at the new models and clearly like the 5227, with its clean, classical Calatrava look, coming close to the original 96. But, and this is a big but, it is simply too big in size. Hence, I had to give up on a new watch (as the complicated end of the range it out of my league).I have hence been looking at pre-owned models and have found that the 3998 seems to meet all my requirements: clean, classical look, automatic, date and 34mm. I am, however, unable to find much information on the series? Can anyone point me to a good source, where I can find information on how long it was produced for, any differences within those years (especially on the movement, but also design features), etc.? Is there anything I need to watch out for as I enter the pre-owned market for this watch? Many thanks for your hel
Prestige time have this new Master Retrograde (L2.716.4.71.3) on offer:The difficulty is that I can't find the same model in any Longines catalogues and the only other retailers advertising it are from Eastern Europe, which concerns me. Also, my understanding was that in their new Master Retrograde line Longines was no longer offering a power resreve complication, which further concerns me. Does anyone have any info on this model? Thanks

That is to say as long as Rolex produces the cerachrom bezel you will never be happy with the colors (that is to say if you want an exact representation of the 5 digit references). Everyone is complaining “ohh! the new GMT still has the wrong color!” “It’s cranberry not red”. And so on and so on....Thats not entirely true. Rolex does nail the color for the Blue and the Red- PERFECTLY, but only for an instant when it’s in the perfect light and the perfect angle. And never base your opinion on color on a Image you see on online even from Rolex. Those pictures never represent real world lighting. As opposed to the metal bezel in the 5 digits, which is for the most part has a much flatter finish, the cerachrom has glossier/polish finish. It will always bring in slight nuances of other color by means of a slight reflection, from other subtle shade colors that are in your environment. And that’s why the finish will never ever produce the same exact color in every setting. This is
