My watchmaker sent me a picture of my Seiko 6138 chrono in a state of disassembly the other day. The accompanying text said "that's just the chrono parts- too many pieces! lol!"I really can't wait to get this one on the wrist. I bought it a couple of months ago and I never got to wear it- it wasn't keeping time whatsoever. These are the seller's pics. The sub dials are wonderful on this one!

Looking at two new watches...
Mainly for a halloween costume, but here they are anyway.First, the EER Patent Solar Powered Turbine Fob Watch:Second, the EER Steam-Powered Entropy Calibrator:I decided to go the route of Steampunk for next halloween (yeah, I know it's early) so I started looking into the styles and accessories and there's some really cool garb out there and I know I will end up spending quite a bit and need time for alterations and personalizing. These two watches stuck out the most for me, but due to the style (Victorian era) and partially the cost, the pocket watch will most likely be the one I buy. I'm keeping my options open on this one, just in case I find something I like a little more.Now to find a good waistcoat. *All picture credits go to Clockwork Couture*

Bit longer than usual:Fake watch racket busted in city Special Correspondent ¡ª PHOTO: R. RAGU big catch: The seized wrist watches displayed at the Police Commissioner¡¯s office in Egmore on Friday. CHENNAI: The city police busted a fake watch racket here on Friday and seized duplicate wristwatches of ¡®Titan¡¯ and ¡®Sonata¡¯ brands worth Rs.1.5 crore. Surprise checks were conducted at three places in the Periamet and Flower Bazaar police station limits, where hundreds of fake watches were on sale. Five persons have been taken into custody.Based on a complaint lodged by the management of the Titan group that many shops in the city were selling fake Titan and Sonata products, Commissioner of Police R. Sekar formed a special team to investigate the case. Under the supervision of Joint Commissioner of Police (North Zone) M.
