Back from London report
Started out at 5:30am in order to catch the Megabus to London at 6am. It was damp & cold, thought to myself, "is this going to be a miserable experience" but as we go closer to London, the skies started to clear. Arrived at Victoria bus station at 9:30am, so proceeded to Victoria Underground, stopping off at Wetherspoons for a farmhouse breakfast and coffee.Caught the tube to Green Park nr Piccadilly and proceeded towards the Burlington Arcade. Saw the Deepsea in the flesh for the first time. here's my thoughts about it. On first glance I thought, "wow what a watch" the writing under the crystal is quite neat and not as prominent as photos might suggest. The thickness of the case is unbelievable. I liked the material used for the bezel insert and also the flush, shaped crystal, plus the Clasp is an engineers dream. The watch does ooze quality. The salesman told me that most seasoned Rolex owners sniff their noses up at it, but a lot of Pan wearers seem to be coming into the Rolex f

How important is an original bezel insert - 70's Sub?
I'm thinking about a 70's 5513 - the watch looks great but papers say a replacement bezel insert was installed five years ago. I've poked around but can't find an answer to the question of how important to the value of the watch is an original bezel insert? By important I guess I'm thinking about how does it generally affect the desirability and value when an insert is replaced?The bezel insert does appear to be aged or period as it's faded from black to a blue. Thanks in advance!
