- Bought this watch for my husband's birthday. He loves it! It's durable for his day-to-day life at work and looks good on. He's also a guy so it was nice to not have to worry about whether it would fit or not.

Breitling A17040 wrist watches news:
Welcome back to an original watches-dealer feature, "My First Grail Watch." In this series, we ask prominent people in the watch industry about the first timepiece that they lusted after. Today, we're speaking with Sebastien Chaulmontet, who heads the movement team at Arnold & Son. You'll also note that he's an avid collector enamored with chronographs, just like many of us.watches-dealer (ABTW): Who are you, and what is your relationship to the watch industry?Sebastien Chaulmontet (SC): I am head of movement development at Arnold & Son, and I am also part of the design team.ABTW: When did your fascination with watches start?Sebastien Chaulmontet: As a child; I was 10 years old. I bought my first vintage watch (a simple ladies' Omega) at a flea market. I wanted to give it to my mother for her birthday. It cost me 10 CHF at the time (around USD 10) and I still remember the day and place where I bought it. My mother still has the watch today and she remembers fondly that I bought
When my aunt passed away I inherited among other things a watch. The watch is a Ladies Omega Seamaster De Ville manual wind. I have tried for several hours to find the exact same watch on the web/ebay/bloggs, but no luck. Does anybody have any more information on this watch, year, rarity, value? If I would sell the watch where will be the best place to announce it?I have attached two pictures. In advance, thank you.Ozzy69
I actually found these in my desk, I'm not sure where they came from and I don't remember them, but ah well!Neither of them work sadly, both could use some TLC. The gold one seems to be an older late 1800's, the white one maybe a teens-20's or even 30'sOne of the gears fell out when I opened it, can it be put back? Not much else I can say, I wonder what finish is on the silverish Elgin's Dial?
When searching some history for the Seiko Astron, this came out: capetowncorp/20th/20th01.htmlIn my browser, the "next" button doesn't shows, but click on the red X on the bottom right to go to the next page and so on...
My gf likes it and I'm thinking of getting her one, any pics?Used to own one but she never tried it on, just curious about the size.I gave my ex wife a speedmaster date 40mm and she needed an extra hole in the cordura strap. Not sure how many links can be removed from the bracelet, may need to get her a bunch of straps or natos to be able to wear it... she's got small wrists.I'd really like it to be a 42mm.
