Breitling A3238011/BA38 wrist watches news:
benrus 003.jpgbenrus 002.jpgbenrus 004.jpg. I picked up a benrus 10kt gold filled watch today because the case struck a cord. The case is in a fan shape, almost scalloped, hour numbers at 12,2,4,8 and 10 second hand above the six position . Any info would be great Thanks Paddy
Yesterday (I think) I posted saying I made the decision to finally start my watch collection with a vintage Girard Perregaux Gyromatic. I didn't know anything about the watch then, other than it appeared suitable for the sort of professional occasions to which I've previously felt ridiculous wearing my seiko diver.Watch collecting, I suspect, will become equally a hobby of continually educating oneself in addition to the actual procurement of interesting pieces. Being so, there is still quite a bit I don't know about the watch so if anyone more knowledgeable than myself could assist in filling in those blanks I'd appreciate it.I've also noticed everyone here loves pictures:100_0110.jpg100E0114.jpg100E0116.jpg100E0120.jpg100E0121.jpgThe movement, I understand, is Girard Perregaux's in house GP31 (GP32 w/date) and it is considered to be the most successful of all GP's "gyromatic" movements. It was actually utilized in GP watches from 1962 to 1975. It is much thinner than its predecessor
Hi all I have browsed the entire owners' thread and did not see any ladies posts. I am intrigued by the day date moon style (with a bracelet-no strap) and wondering if I could pull this off. There are no AP dealers where I live, so I can't try on for now. What are your thoughts?
I️ am the biggest fan ever of the Explorer, but surprisingly don¡¯t have one at the moment. Just received my new Omega Railmaster today. Couldn¡¯t be happier. I️ don¡¯t typically like to buy without seeing a watch in person, but since this one¡¯s been out of production a while, I️ didn¡¯t have any choice. I️ liked it in pictures, but absolutely love it on the wrist. 39.2mm is a perfect size.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Hey all, just wanted to get your thoughts on quality control at Omega. After a long wait and a significant deposit I finally received a 60th anniversary speedy. After liberating it from that monstrosity of a bracelet it came on, I really enjoyed it for about two weeks until I decided to check out the dial under the loupe (sometimes I just like to admire them close up, you know?).I immediately notice a splotch of white paint, admittedly the size of a pin prick and basically invisible to the naked eye, but very prominent under the loupe, right in the center of the lume plot at 12.It's not even its presence that bothers me so much. Like I said, it's practically invisible without magnification. However, I keep having this image in my head of an omega watchmaker examining it through a loupe while affixing the dial, noticing it (as it's obvious), and thinking to himself oh no bother, they'll probably never notice. For a watch that cost over $7,000, can't I reasonably expect a little more att
