- The only thing I regret about buying this watch was the box. It looks very cheap and unsophisticated. You are going to need a different box to give this watch as a gift. That box issue aside, the watch does look really good.

Modified 'orange second' Seiko
I was loving this watch so much lately that I had to give it more love. It won my 5 quartz watch battle with a fantastic performance of 0+- sec in 20 days. That is impressive - even for a quartz watch.I bought this watch a few months ago because I loved its grandfather so much - a 1970 version that still 'runs like a watch!'I don't know why I wanted the gold so much. I think I was on a gold kick there for a bit. But with the fake gold bracelet it came with, it was too much.The other thing I didn't care for was that the secondhand was invisible.The first thing I did was replace the mineral glass with sapphire.And then today I did two things. I painted the secondhand orange. It's wild, it's different, and it may not have class, but I like it much better now and think it looks fine.Secondly, I bought a very heavy, quality made Seiko original SS bracelet. It is brushed SS with some gold accents. I think it looks sharp with the watch. I sort of like a watch to stand out a little fr

The Seiko SRP043 is one of my favorite watches, in fact after selling the original one I traded for one some months ago. I like it so much that just before Christmas while perusing the watch sales forums (I know I should not have done that... ) I found one at a bargain price. It was head only and per the data from the seller it had seen action (military) in Afghanistan. Nevertheless I thought that it could be my beater, since the price was good. So I pounced on it and snatched it. A few days later I found and bought a used bracelet from another watch forum - I know I am cheap... but cash is hard to come by these days...Anyway, the second watch received was actually in excellent condition with only a few small and superficial marks and not a beater at all. However once I had the bracelet together with the watch I thought that the first watch looked exactly like the second one and so I wanted to make a small difference. At first I thought to change the seconds hand but then while

Picked one up recently at the airport on a spur of the moment buy. Although they have their range from low to high, I wonder if they're really up there in terms of workmanship, legacy, etc. With that said, I'm a bit regretful about my purchase.
