Rado R13600132 wrist watches news:
Early January, after many months of searching I buy a SKX175 from an authorized US watch retailer, online. I got this watch to be a daily wear watch and as I work in a commercial kitchen it's gonna get beat on. So be it; I got a Diver 200m just for that reason. In any event recently I notice the watch crystal fogs up after I exit the cooler or freezer; looks like there's a humidity issue in the case or maybe a gasket problem. Whatever. Before 30 days are up I email the CS department of the retailer and tell them this along with the fact that this watch has been well worn in the course of 4 weeks. Actually, what I said was "I should add that this watch has been worn almost every day so far and has gotten some heavy wear already; especially the bracelet and clasp. It also has been sized though I still have the links as well as box and all paperwork." Their reply was, basically, 'While we are happy to take your money any problems that you might have with the watch you bought from
What are the precision tolerances for HAMILTON mechanical watches? The accuracy of the watch depends on the movement and on the individual habits of the wearer and can therefore vary. A qualified HAMILTON watchmaker can adjust the precision of a watch to within the HAMILTON tolerances. The majority of watches that do not have a chronometer certificate have average precision tolerances of between -10/+15 seconds per day. To earn the title of chronometer, the mechanical movement¡¯s average daily variation in rate must be between -4/+6 seconds per day
Just to share some photos and information of a special watch I handled this morning. This should be a treat for Sportura fans. It is the first automatic chronograph produced in Sportura lines albeit a limited edition model. The watch is made in Japan and announced during Basel 2010 earlier this year. There are 1000 units made available for the international market as well as Japan. The 8R28 calibre drives this watch. This is a big watch and shows it presense readily. The finish and fit is excellent similar to most mid range Seiko lines. Some quick photos to share, please excuse the hurried snapshots.Seiko Sportura SRQ007J1 Automatic Limited EditionThe Crown that looks like a CNC gearSporty yet elegant dialDecorated 8R28 movement, please excuse the plastic stickerI like it as it looks good on my wrist but the price tag was too much for me. Cheers!
Just completed a trade with Oscar aka BodyBump! Couldn't be any happier!!
Hello TRF, I recently have been quite obsessed with the period correct topic. Yet the more I read, the more I'm confusing myself. I purchased a X serial TT few months ago, the warranty certificate that came with the watch has only the AD name on it but no date or owner so does not help much in dating the watch for the period correctness. I used the charts and reference library to get a rough idea of the period of each code I found:Case Serial code: X4..... (1991)Clasp Code: R11 (Nov 1993)GMT Manual: Jan 1992Your Rolex Oyster: Jan 1992Red Chrono Tag: Single crown hologram (90s - early 2000)Box code: 68.00.55 (90s)Calendar Card 1: 1994-1995Calendar Card 2: 1995-1996Dial: SWISS-T<25Originally I thought the Calendar cards were given out at services but I just learnt that they are part of the set the AD assembled during the purchase.l - but why 2? The dates of the booklets are 2 years earlier than the calendar cards, is that normal? The clasp is 2 years younger than the watch, but taking
