The two watches who received the award are the new Tag Heuer Grand Carrera Calibre 36 and the Aquaracer Heuer new tag 500 M Calibre 5 movement. The Grand Carrera Calibre 36 is a strange watch with a concept of sound design for measure 1/10 of a second accuracy in its complication chronograph - in a unique way. The best way to appreciate it is to see the video here. This is a cool concept, but will not be a seller of volume high as the Aquaracer 500 M. the new Aquaracer model is very well done - really advance the concept of a "professional diver watch" for Tag Heuer. It has an automatic movement, 500 metres from the resistance to water and comes in different colours and materials that each have a strong industrial feeling which is still being a timepiece inline good taste. Questions about Illinois Watch Company pocketwatch
Hey everyone!I received this watch for Christmas a couple of years ago from my grandmother, I know it was owned by my grandfather but believe it was originally purchased by my great grandfather. I've tried doing some research on it and really haven't found anything other than the serial number on the movement (1572688) means the watch was made in around 1902 (supposedly). Anyone have any information about this timepiece (history, value, etc.)? Also, it is manually wound, but I can't figure out how to set the time. The crown pulls out but it just winds it. applying lume.
bought a lume kit from bergeon. its, lume, shellac and thinner. so I mixed up some lume with shellac and applied it to the bezel markers on the vixa nettuno. after it dries, I'll apply one more coat then clean up any lume that got outside of the application area. not sure how to do that yet, kind of just experimenting with it at the moment. I have some marathons that could use this type of treatment. no sealer applied, I think the shellac binder should be water resistant. if not, oh well.:D heres a before then a after of one coat.
