Breitling A1336212/F545SS wrist watches news:
I am new to this. I would like information on a watch. I have a 1955 Omega Seamaster automatic 14k solid gold bezel with a solid gold crown with omega sign. The case is gold plated over stainless.I am wondering approximately what it is worth by just the information I have given you. Thankyou!! Happy NewYear to everyone . Be Safe.
I really like the whole group of watch nuts I talk to on a regular basis, whether they're part of the NYC gang, local Joizey WISs, or members of the VΩBT (vintage Omega brain trust) that live too far to visit. However, I feel bad for them when they grab a watch that should be in my collection instead of theirs. They'll be incessently pestered, harangued, persuaded, and begged to sell it to me. I'm as relentless as the change of season..and it worked again. But that made it necessary for him to part with something I bugged him about nearly every phone conversation we had since he grabbed it out from under my nose (and made sure to publicly tell me HERE). So I'm stealing one of the original seller's pictures for this thread until I can shoot a few of my own when it arrives:This wo

Hi AllI see that Adam (GLADIATOR) posted this in another forum and thought you'd like to see it too....I think this post puts the whole story together incredibly well!Best,Ike A Visionary's Tale - The 'HARWOOD' Jig-Saw comes to-gether.It all started when I received from my English Mentor, the following email:"Here we go. I'll start with the Harwood. The significance of this watch cannot be overstated. It was the first ever automatic wristwatch. It is the ancestor of every selfwinding watch on the market and represents Genesis for this type of movement. The British museum have a Harwood on permanent display and no collection would be complete without one. Horrible nickel cased versions sold in the USA sometimes appear online, but UK market examples in solid gold do not surface. This is the best Harwood I have seen in years."From that E mail, I ended up with the most beautiful, 1929 18kt mint Harwood:
