Longines L4.821.4.11.2 wrist watches news:
Just a question here guys. Are the movements the same in these two watches? I read where the Sub w/o date is a Oyster perpetual. The sub w/date is a Chronometer movement. Is that the same or is w/o date model a lesser quality movement?Rob
While doing more research today I came across a VERY strange paragraph that was published in the May 22, 1915 edition of The New York Medical Journal.Author is unknown. The paragraph was very small so I re-typed it in MS Word, verbatim. The opinion of the unknown author did not go over so well with the United States Army I'm guessing ! ! ! !
Hello,I've just got this IWC watch from a friend. But I don't know the model and/or series. Does anyone know? Thanks in advance,Floris
I'm trying to determine what case size to choose from in a Hamilton Khaki Field watch. I think 44mm will be too big, so I'll be choosing from either the 38mm or the 42mm. It's going to be my first automatic. I plan on wearing it for a variety of situations, possibly including formal occasions (depending on how formal). What do you guys think about watch case sizes when looking for something versatile? 38 seems a little more classic, but larger cases seem to be in style so how versatile can the 42mm be in your opinion? Thanks!
Jim at Continental Jewelers in Washington, DC, has decided to close out his watch business. As many of you recall, Jim's leased location was demolished for new construction several years ago. Because of his age (he will be 83 in October) and Omega's move from ADs to boutiques, Jim decided not to go with the expense of a new show room which meant losing his AD status with Omega. He has been able to continue business as usual but now due to his wife's illness, his intent is to be closed down by the end of the year. He has a couple of hundred watches that he needs to move so if you are looking for a new one, now is the time to give Jim a call.Jim asked me to thank all of his customers and forum friends for their prayers and support.
